Last Saturday and Sunday, the final 2006 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer was
held in Charlotte, North Carolina. As with the previous walks, Multiply
was on hand to help capture memories throughout both days -- all of
which will be shared at the official
Avon Walk group on
Multiply. (Photos from the seven previous walks are available
right now; Charlotte photos will be up later this week. And don't
forget that for all prints ordered from the group, 20% of the purchase
price will be donated to the Avon
Foundation.)
According to Avon, this year's walks
raised more than $43 million, the
most ever raised in a single year. This includes the record-setting
New York Avon Walk, which alone raised $9.7 million. As an associate
sponsor of this year's walks, we at Multiply are proud to have
supported this important cause. But even moreso, we're certainly proud
of all those who participated in the eight walks, each covering 39
miles over the course of two days -- on foot.
Simply amazing.
