Two months in the making, we're proud to pull the covers off of some really, really ridiculously great new stuff.
As you read this, you've probably already noticed some of the more obvious changes we've made. And chances are, you're reading this because you're curious about these new features. Or maybe you're just wondering what the heck's going on!
In the coming days, we'll be taking a closer look at the nuts and bolts of some of what's new, but for now here's a quick rundown, in case you're the curious (or impatient) type. We don't blame you for wanting to get your hands on these sweet new features already.
As you know, these changes didn't just make themselves. Many thanks go out to everyone who had a hand in this release -- in addition to the usual folks, we'd like to extend major thanks the tireless users who helped us out in QA over the last few weeks. You guys rock.
I love multiply!!!! Mmm! Mmm! I think the option of being able to HIDE boxes is just splendid. Though I have not really tried the new photo uploader (Ajax) Reading the reviews has already given me an excellent impression of it.
However, I would still like to have my profile page, its kind of an about you page, most blogs have a profile at the side bar in the top or left upper corner, not smack in the center upper as part of the welcome message. My "My Multiply" says there is an error contact administrators ... I guess I have to give it some time to settle in or what?? Another thing, issit possible to remove the top menu? I already have my own menu in the title portion of the page.
WOW .. great jobs, I really like the new message board. a lot more room for customisation. Thanks Multiply. *going back to play more with all those new stuffs*
hey.... why cant we upload multiple pictures at one shot now? It seems i can only load one picture at a time? please bring back the multiple picture loading option...
er....it's nice to know that there are upgrades....but, the layout seems a little complicated and strange....i prefer the old one where it's simple and straige forward....reader and user friendlier....it used to be alot easier to see when you have new posts from friends and contacts...
The *Post" link right on top no longer allows us to post photos to current existing albums....it used to allow that and I thought that was a nice convenience...rather than go to individual album and click "edit album"....maybe that option should still be preserved...

great.. hmm guess i will have to adjust wit this new stuff eh.. the appearance looks too crowded... cant see profiles and seems i got plenty of bugs...anyway..but i still like them..but not much
too crowded, it think. why did u erase the profile? i think we need to see someone's profile who added us to be their contacts. we need it. please don't delete that feature. and my headshot is so mess up. it's transparent! please don't make the white color or any other color become transparent.
o, well... for every changes some got better, some got worse. but i believe u guys still working on it until everyone feels happy right?
it says that in four (4) of my albums, each have 1 reply. but when i check them, there are none. could this be a bug or some people just deleted their comments?
1) What happened to the display items by "YOU" in the explore page? wait, the explore page doesn't exist anymore - but whatever. What happened to "YOU"?!? I don't wanna have to go through the Custom Filter option everytime.
2) I need my simple welcome page! and I want the Explore page back!!
3) What's a "streamlined settings page"?
4) My page now looks ugly, too many big fonts.
5) I want the profile page back!! I wanna be able to show the five pictures and be able to see other people's 5 pictures!
6) I like the hide button.
7) I hate how everything is on my homepage.
8) I want the profile page back.
9) Have i mentioned I want the profile page back?
10) Oh and please, the "YOU" button - I need it - my easy ONE CLICK to my posts life depends on it.
11) Have I mentioned about the profile page?
12) Yes, the profile page, PLEASE!!
13) HEY! Where's the NETWORK MESSAGE option? I already miss that! I use that a lot!
14) profile page? yes?
15) "YOU", NETWORK MESSAGE and PROFILE PAGE! Thanks

Wow .... looks like not too many people appreciate the new features. I think we should all create a list of things we like and things we don't so that Multiply can continue improving, upgrading and remaining the BEST social networking site.
Things I LIKE - Ajax uploader, new way of arranging photos, new way of clicking on thumnails to rename and add discription (though the old feature might be preferred by some i.e. all in one page titles and description) - ability to HIDE boxes (though the resotration of them could be simplified) - Easier editing of title - Widening of the page - no. of albums/playlist/video in the text link at the bottom corner of the box (on your homepage)
Things I DONT like - loss of setup page to modify site title, blog title, photo title, etc. becos if I accidentally edit the title wrongly on my homepage, things go haywire and are almost impossible to correct. I had to google the directory and find the exact page which is something like http://youraccount.multiply.com/setup/pages/content
- the new menu bar which upsets my own menu (created through the site title) visit my site to see what I mean http://remainingod.multiply.com
- the my multiply page does not work with Firefox 2
- loss of the profile page: I am pretty unhappy with this, because what's a social networking site without a profile page. Whether you are a voyeur or privacy freak, you still need to have a profile page, and the old profile page you were able to customize who could and could not view certain things, which I tot gave multiply the edge over many others like myspace .... now that particular edge is gone?
hey.... why cant we upload multiple pictures at one shot now? It seems i can only load one picture at a time? please bring back the multiple picture loading option...
To upload more than 1 photo at a time:
1.) Click "Post" 2.) Click "Photos" 3.) Under "Alternate Upload Tools", click "Basic HTML Uploader" 4.) Yay! Multiple picture uploads are back! Also, the next time you want to upload photos, your preferences will be saved. You won't have to follow these steps everytime.
arrggg! i missed the old format already. feels like somebody tresspassed into my domain and made a mess. frankly, i also felt insecure that all my posts for many years may suddenly be erased! what a horror!
changes should have been made as "options" instead of an unannounced revamp.
Ooh. nice job, Multiply team! though we users need more time to get accustomed to the upgrade and the new features.
And yeah, what's a Multiply shopping cart? I saw that feature in one of the photos in this entry, the first photo that was used as an example, it said, "You have 2 items in your shopping cart". Wooh, that's new to me...I don't know what that is.
Overall rating - it's good! But I wish I could change the layout of my homepage... and my headshot looked horrible when the upgrade began! I used to have my own theme, my own background image and all. My headshot was perfect then. When Multiply 3.0 was activated, and when I went to my site, there were black spots on my headshot. So I was quite disappointed with that, all I could do was change my site's theme because no matter what I do, my headshot isn't compatible with my previous background image, in Multiply 3.0.
But yes, thank you for the new features! And as much as possible, please make sure to notify us first of the changes that will be applied to Multiply in the future. Of course, we want upgrades, but we need information.
OH MY GOD!!! THIS IS SOOOOOOO GREAT!!! RIDICULOUSLY GREAT, IN FACT!!! Keep rocking y'all!!! This site's continuous improvements keeps impressing me time after time! Excellent job!! That's why I love y'all so much!!! \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/

Hello. The changes are okay. I just can't seem to find some old features like the part where I can change a page's title into something else. I was hoping to change my page's title. Where can I locate that feature? Is it still available? Thanks.
Well, I like the way the whole message board looks like. It's just that my homepage looks pretty messed up now. :( I'm hoping for someone to help me out with the query I posted above. Thanks.
Hey, this is good! But I was thinking of a way to see my videos in a single list, not thumbs!!! If I had 1000 videos I'll keep a eternity to find what I want t see. :P
(my site is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery very, much very slow to load. )
Quite a massive rollout. I haven't had a cance to really explore it, but once I saw the changes, I felt the need to come here and check out exactly what's been going on. It looks good, but it wouldn't have been a bad idea to do some end-user training prior to the rollout =) Just a "what to look out for" type feature. People are resistant to change =)
i'm trying to keep my multiply site (personal and church site) really wholesome for the sake of the family, our kids and the church members.
suddenly, I see a bikini clad woman on the ads flashing on the top!!! wooosh!
The main reason why I chose multiply to host my photos and family blogs and updates is that it has very discrete ads just running at the side, no sexy thing or anything like that.
anybody concerned reading this??? please remove the ads and sexy photos flashing at the site!!!
Shame there's still the bug that half the time when we go to multiply.com/mail it incorrectly says we have no friends so won't list anything (sometimes fixed with a refresh)...

A newbie here. Fell in love with the old version and then it changed suddenly. Things were so simple then (seems like imitating life itself, hahaha!).
Just one question though, for now: how do I edit my "Welcome" message? Can't find the way to do so. I love that feature. Please bring it back. Uhmm...help..anyone...?
er....it's nice to know that there are upgrades....but, the layout seems a little complicated and strange....i prefer the old one where it's simple and straige forward....reader and user friendlier....it used to be alot easier to see when you have new posts from friends and contacts...

If you used to use the Table view of the message board, you can still switch to that view. Just click on the Preferences link.
You can also still add photos to existing albums via the Post link if you are using the Java, ActiveX or HTML uploader. If you are using the new Ajax uploader, you'll need to go to the album and click on "edit".
if your page is in table view, you can edit the name/title of blog, music, videos, welcome, etc by clicking on the top right corner of the box.
To edit the page title, click on the area above ur welcome message, where it says "click to edit", and here comes the INTERESTING part, you cannot move ur mouse away, or else the box will close and submit.
You have to leave ur mouse there and type everything using ur keyboard and arrow keys only. a suggestion (if code is complicated): you could press ctrl+A to select all, then ctrl+C to copy, then paste into note pad, edit it there, before copying from ur note pad into the title edit area. I had to do that myself inorder to edit my buttons.
i want the old one better too... :( i am missing the YOU tab where i can view all my post and i miss the ability to filter the posts (like if i just wanna see all the personal messages, photos, etc..) within the explore page... oh and yes, i do miss the explore page.
