Last week's introduction of Multiply 3.0 included one of the most
widely-requested features -- the ability to remove a post from your
Message Board.
As always, if your message board is
sorted by "last unread reply," you can still just ignore messages you're not
interested in; they'll simply make their way down the page (and
eventually out of sight) as new things are posted.
However, there may be times when you absolutely
positively never want to see a particular post on your message board
again -- even by accident when browsing page 4, or even when new
replies are posted. If this is the case, just click the small circled
"X" underneath the post like so:
This will bring up a warning
explaining just what removing a post does.
Confirm that you'd like to remove
it, and you're done; the pesky post is gone from your Message Board
forever! Once again, make sure you're absolutely positive that you're done with a
post before removing it, as there is no way to bring removed messages
back to your Message Board. If you ever wish to see it again, you'll
need to visit the poster's page and locate it there.
i wish though that you can tick/highlight a couple of post at one time and then remove it. doing it one at a time can be a hassle when suddenly a particualr contact gets so creative and posted 20 boring items at one go hehehe...
This new feature is what made me want to go back to Multiply, after being away for so long. When a friend of mine on Instant Messenger told me that Multiply has made some upgrades I went to my Multiply sign in page, dusted off the cobwebs, and logged on. And to my surprise, Multiply has added this feature. I was grinning from ear to ear, you should have seen the look on my face. I was (and still am) one happy Multiply camper.
Before this new feature was added, I actually tried my best to just let those unwanted messages just slide off the page so that i can just forget about them, as the Multiply staff advised me to do. And then, just days later, here comes more unwanted messages. And another.. And Another! It was a never ending cycle of unwanted messages, and unwanted grief. But not anymore!
Why don't you make it like any other RSS reader (e.g. google reader). * We can mark-as-read, mark-as-unread, mark-all-as-read. Show-all, show-only-unread. * Add-star (or highlight), show-starred (only). That a lot more convenience. Cheers.
nice feature, but i think the tiny images are not worth their file size.. 0.5kb for the tiny envelope, 0.46kb for the tiny pin and around 0.25kb for the tiny X.. i tried saving the little images onto my pc and found out that they're originally bigger.. maybe you can reduce their sizes and thus reduce their file sizes.. 0.5kb is not big at all, but given that there are lots of posts (25 by default), there'll also be lots of tiny links.. just concerned about those who still have snail-speed internet connections ;)
sorry but yall messed up again i do not have that feature showing so who writes this stuff anyway? someones kindergartner?
Under [Show Posts From: Contacts Close Medium Distant Groups] there are two links: Custom Filter and Preferences.. Click on Preferences then check the box beside [Show "Subscribe," "Pin," and "Remove" links for each item]
whenever i go the multiply address, i need not need to sign on. it was sign on automatically. it will always appear as 1 unread post by your contacts. i have to change the settings whenever i need to view new posts. why is that so...... please help.

Help needed!!!!! How to delete the following item in my playlist?
Hi! i'm not from the multiply service, but i've asked them the same question and they said that they currently do not have the option to delete songs in a playlist.. you may delete a whole playlist but the songs therein still remain.. they're not deleted from the system.. in response, i told them that it would benefit us both if they would allow that option in the future because it will lessen the clutter in our list of songs as well as reduce wasted space on multiply servers.. i hope they will give favorable attention to this matter very soon..
I still can't seem to change my welcome message :P.
Just hover your cursor on the welcome message header ("Welcome" by default) and these options -> [ edit | hide ] will appear.. click 'edit' then change your welcome message..
Go to Settings then My Site then at the top, you'll find the following sentence with the link to custom css: "Pick a theme below, then personalize it with custom CSS and page layouts."
but that gives me a NEW custom CSS, with only the 1st bit filled in. I had carefully adjusted the old one I had, with colour code changes, and copying and pasting stuff from elsewhere (as I don't know how to write html). Now I cannot access the one I spent a lot of time personalising. I just want to make one small colour ajustment (the background colour for links).
since i began multiply i've always had the message that there has been one reply to my posts. All replies have been deleted by me, however, i still get that same message that there is a reply. Can you remove that error message for me?
hmm, that's odd.. i don't know if there have been any changes with their css coding since the last multiply version, but my all my css codes remained intact.. i suggest that you contact customer service =)
what would be great too is a way to UN-alert a MASS grouping of alerts.....sometimes when one is away for a day or so you come back to like 50-100 alerts......is there any way to check mark "READ ALL" or something so all those alerts are no longer alerts other than having to go to each one and checking them out? This is so time consuming!
