The recent introduction of Multiply 3.0, in the category of oft-requested
features, also introduced the ability to completely hide certain
content types from your homepage when using the "Boxes View" site
layout. This means that the way your site is presented to those who
visit... is entirely in your hands.
Note that the
changes you make to your page are, of course, only cosmetic in nature.
Hiding a certain type of content does not delete it as well. Content
types you've hidden are still accessible by visiting your dedicated
pages for photos, videos, and so forth.
And yes,
you can restore
content types you've hidden! Every time you hide one, you'll see a
"Restore" link appear for that type in your homepage's sidebar. The
links will, naturally, only appear for you (and not your visitors) when
viewing your own page, and will allow you to quickly and painlessly
snap that section back where it goes, pronto.
I miss a lot of things from 2.0 - 3.0 has a lot of cool things but removed too many of 2.0's useful features. Multiply should put up a poll next time they want to remove a certain feature.

i need a counter. been requesting it for years -*-
isn't it great? to know how many people read your stuffs? if that's not possible, what about custom script/image? (i can get the free counter, but i can't put the image on the page)

I think a counter's quite a fine idea... But it might be embarrassing for me sometimes when my site is visited by only couple of people, hahaha..! Anyway, if u agree to add a counter, pls make it visible for the site's owner only or for everybody at wish of the site's owner... Would that be possible?
i wish there was a Hide button for the part of the right rail where there are Google Ads.. ever since the premium accounts were removed, the chance of removing the ads has disappeared.. i wish Multiply would let certain willing customers pay a one-time fee to get rid of the ads for good..
hmm... one more hint: the links on the menu bar should be named with the user's custom choice, and not with the static: Home, Blog, Photos, Links, etc...
I know that large names could compromise the space left to that items on the menu bar... but a simple truncation, say the first 15 characters, could do the trick.

also, it is very difficult to find your 'personal messages', you can easily 'POST A PERSONAL MESSAGE' but it took me forever to go to MY MULTIPLY, then do a filter search for personal messages... there should be a direct link somewhere for personal messages only, similar to an e-mail inbox...
i'm beginning to feel "at home" with this v3's complicatedly simple features (lol). although i wonder why my friend's visit doesn't reflect in my viewer's list when she is also a multiply member. we were both chatting yesterday when she narrated to me which page (in my site) she was. and when i viewed her site, her last visit was still months ago. i would be grateful if someone could shed a light on me why is this so.
I have a problem. I went to the 'preferences' section on the 'my multiply' page, and since I did that, I haven't been able to receive any updates by anyone on my contact lists and even myself. The last update that appears on the page is one from a few days ago when since then, I've been updating daily.
How do I fix this. I choose the 'see 20 replies appear per page' and thats all. Now I see either nothing at all, or if and when they do appear the 'latest' is from a few days ago.

can you please tell me how to make the blog entries show up in their entirety across the full width of the homepage like on the homepage of this site? when i try to do that -- it only produces a box that is half the width of my homepage and also does not show the photos attached to each blog. i was able to hide all the other boxes but still cannot get it to do this... thanks!

go into your css settings and after the colour type transparent if you look at other stuff in css you will see its pretty easy really
hello.. all of my blogs are shown in my main page but i dont want them to be on my first and main page..i want to have them only in new page for blog..i cant hide my blog from first page..i click the Customize My Page, but it doesnt show any Hide or Edit for my Blogs box.. can u guide me what should i do? thanks..
i can't move boxes on my page without the box suddenly becoming stuck to my mouse and growing to a full screen width. I also hid some boxes to help with my customizing but now can't unhide them! Help!

HUH??? I can't find the RESTORE link! Oh my! Help me pls!
hello guys to restore your hidden files, find the "Site Customization" box (which has the ) on the top. You will then see that below the "Choose a Theme -> Custom CSS->Page Layouts..etc.", your previously hidden sections are listed. Click on them to unhide them. Hope I helped! :)
As noted in previous posts, the "Restore" links should properly be named "Show" - the reciprocal of "Hide".
