Way back during the sweltering South Florida summer days of last July,
we introduced
something actually quite cool -- a completely new way to re-arrange the
content on your Multiply page: simple dragging and
dropping.
But now, customizing your site is getting
smarter. With this update (it's coming very soon), we've reined in the
best of the "new" way of customizing your page... and made it even better,
with a dedicated 'customize' mode for modifying your homepage. Observe,
an example homepage as it appears using the "Boxes" layout, after
clicking the handy, all-in-one "Customize Site" link:
That's
right, you'll be presented with controls for all of the editable
elements on the page, from your content boxes to your headshot. Handy
links for further customization (themes, layouts, CSS) are available at
the top of the page.
Users of the "Linear" layout
style won't find as many bells and whistles for customizing their site,
but the elements that can be tweaked (headshot, welcome message, page
title) are now as easy to change as in "Boxes" mode.
Looks great. I think the added functionality will definitely open up the doors to additional themes. I'm definitely looking forward to some better, professionally designed themes that we can implement.

Oh it sounds very nice to separate Design (Customize) Mode from Normal Mode. Then the poor boxes and controls should continue their sleeping (and may dreaming) and our Mouse don't disturb their sweet sleep until we really need to wake them up: "Hey wake up, we need to customize you!" :D
I guess what we really need is 'MORE' new 'Themes'... hope u guys over there can really heard me loud need a more professional looks for Multiply logo now looks a bit dull....
why can't we use Smiley Central with Multiply to insert smileys , I try and I get an error reading saying no javascripts allowed. I love those Smiley's I did not use to have a problem before .
Hopefully this is what i've been waiting for. I browsed the "pimp my profile" site, but they all were for friendsters and hi5. It was easy for friendster members to modify their site, as easy as copy and paste. So I'm hoping that Multiply will be as easy as them also in terms of modifying profile. Looking forward to seeing the cool things from Multiply.

however something's wrong too with my welcome box...can't edit it.all the other boxes are workin fine except that one box. you guys are really working towards excellence. keep it up.
lumayanlah multiply karena selain dapat menulis blog, aku juga bisa menyimpan musik, video dan yang paling asyik adalah menulis buku harian. Intinya ini web sangat banyak manfaatnya. Merdeka sekali lagi merdeka.
Same problem here! They change one thing and stuff up another. Now I can't edit my blogs, music, videos, etc. I like being able to select what features on my home page. At the moment I can't. Gone too is the ability to select a song for my home page.
It's about time you correct a "bug" whom most users complain..the "missing EDIT consule" on the right corner. For www.multiply.com, I gave you 5 thumbs up...Goodluck!
the new "customize" is a good thing, but when I move "music" on top, it apears on bottom and so on... works for me a little hard, but I'm patient :) I would like to see something like this: when I want to customize my page, options: 1. Music, 2. Photos, 3. links. or any other order, because moving didn't work for me as I hoped... at least for the moment :(
..hey multiply people..... i don't know what updates you've done but.. my page is stuck.. can't edit..can't do anything.... what's up???? also i've sent endless requests for assistance from ur customer service... no one has replied... is that department existing at all !!!!
i am facing a couple of problem after the upgrade. 1. when i try to type something in the welcome message... all the wording cannot go to the new line. since like all the wording wrap up together and is very messy. 2. when i try to upload new pictures all the number for the pictures is not in sequence after uploaded. hope you guys can fix the problem.
That looks really good. And I like the chat idea that sounds good too. Way to go multiply. I love my website and it was really easy and fun to use. Thanks :)

The new pics uploaded after the updates is somewhat messed up. Please, see here and here. Where are the thumbs? Am I not able to set'em as cover album? On edit mode, the thumbs don't appear, only a grey box. And the setting options (rotate, set cover album...) don´t appear too.
Would it be possible to enable HTML in ôur blogs and in the comments in the future?
