For a good while now, you've had options for getting your photos on
Multiply. You could upload them with any of our web-based uploading
tools, import them from another photo-sharing site, or even post them
from your e-mail-enabled cameraphone.
The most
recent change to uploading photos to Multiply came last November with
the
release of Multiply 3.0 and our new all-in-one uploader/album
editor. The feedback we received was mostly positive, though our users
pointed out a few areas we could look to for possible improvements.
(Thank you for the suggestions!)
And now, we've
done just that -- no matter which web-based uploader you use, you'll be
able to use our brand new album editor to drag and drop your photos to
re-order
them; photo rotating and caption editing is also as simple as clicking
a
thumbnail. Of course, you'll also get to use this brand new bunch of
goodness when editing a photo album.
We've also
brought the Java uploader back
in all its drag-and-drop-many-files-at-once glory, as the new default.
If you'd like to switch between this and the lighter HTML version,
simply use the "Check out..." link below the import
tools.
So go ahead and give this a try! If
you don't have anything new to share just yet, why not edit an old
album and add some
tags?
I've tried the new uploader recently, and I'm quite satisfied with the speed. :)
But honestly, I prefer the previous version of the uploader (ajax), because the ajax uploader allowed me to edit photo albums, at the same time, upload/add photos. Maybe if you could bring back the ajax uploader and retain the new HTML uploader; and we users would also have the option to choose which uploading tool we are comfortable with, then we would be greatly satisfied. :)
I've lost all my photo descriptions before for some unknown reason. I think it's during the implementation of the AJAX uploader. I hope it's fixed now.
:-( I hate it .. i'm sorry... i prefer AJAX. Please, bring it back :'-( Ajax uploader allow me to work with album during upload (like replyflywithoutwings said). And Ajax is for me beter than using ActiveX and Java Applets (and i am a JAVA developer... i know what i am talking about), ActiveX and JAVA is problematic ... and new HTML uploader is simply ugly. :-(
Thanks a million for bringing back the "basic HTML" upload. I have some trouble with AJAX upload which always take down my uploaded photo for no reasons. Also, what I really want is just a simple and clean way to put those file into my site, not some uploading manager tools.
We can see it all now ... somebody want pure html, somebody want pure AJAX, somebody want JAVA or ActiveX. I vote for all ways,...give chance to select what user want to use. (AND BRING AJAX BACK :-) ... ehm .... please
I am in no way computer illiterate. I understand the basics of HTML as well ass CSS, for instance. I've been on Multiply since Oct. 05 and have seen a few changes. Never once have I been able to do any such "drag and drop" with uploading pictures. I have no idea how this works. I have tried to do it; I know the concept quite well. I have to use the Java setting and Browse one by one to add pictures. I do not have ActiveX installed nor will I on my computer. Maybe that's the problem, I don't know. I've used Mozilla Suite, Opera, and Firefox, and they all show the same thing for me.
I did like the Ajax uploader, but by the time I got around to actually using it, it was gone!
I'm not complaining, this is a free site. I'm just saying I'm confused about a certain function that is supposedly there that I cannot use.
same with me. well 2 times it worked, but all other times when i click (once) on the thumbnail it moves a little forth and back but the edit screen for the photo does not open. moving the pic within the album (click-drag-drop) works fine, just the "click and edit" creates problems with me...
"We've also brought the Java uploader back in all its drag-and-drop-many-files-at-once glory"
Will someone PLEASE explain to me how this is done?? Thank you
If you're using the Java-based uploader, you can select multiple files at once on your computer's desktop and drag them directly into your browser window and drop them on top of the uploader box.
I'm facing this problem since last Thurs which I totally can't view all the postings uploaded from my contacts in the message board, it keeps giving me a blank page whenever I login to my message board. However, I can view my own homepage as well as my contacts' one. Previously was still alright.
I have sent messages to the customer service but up till today, I still see blank page in my message board. Has anyone face this problem before? Can anyone help me on getting how to solve it?

I use ACDC to view pictures. I have tried to drag-and-drop from this program into the Java uploader. It won't work. As I put the cursor over the line, I get a circle with a line through it. I have however done the drag-and-drop from ACDC into an email, no problem.
great! thanks. but how i wish you also put the editing tools in the Review box (just like in the blog) for us who dont know anything about HTML. please?!

I have the same problem! I mean my message board won't update. Nothing is listing when I open it. :( How to fix this? Please help! I NEED UPDATES!
it'd be great not to have to click on a picture to do basic things like rotate, delete, make cover... also, it would be awesome if I could see a full size pop-up of the picture while in edit mode in case I really ought to delete it!

Setelah sebelumnya Partai Golkar mengumumkan calon gubernurnya, Partai Demokrasi Indonesia- Perjuangan (PDI-P) akhirnya secara resmi mengumunkan calon gubernur DKI Jakarta, Fauzi Bowo.
The Indonesian Democratic Party for Struggle (PDI-P) officially announced on Thursday its nomination of Fauzi Bowo for the Jakarta governor post.
"PDI-P has nominated Fauzi Bowo for the post of the Jakarta governor and offered its blessing to him for the gubernatorial race," PDI-P Secretary General Pramono Anung said.
Pramono Anung said the decision to nominate Fauzi Bowo was made during a PDI-P meeting chaired by its chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri.
He said that the decision to nominate Bowo --which was taken through a democratic mechanism-- was stipulated in a PDI-P decree on March 14, 2007.
On the occasion, Pramono also expressed the party's thanks for other would-be candidates who had registered to PDI-P. Besides Fauzi Bowo, five other would-be candidates, namely Bibit Waluyo, Edy Waluyo, Sarwono Kusumaatmadja, Faisal Basri and Agum Gumelar, had also registered with PDI-P.
"PDI-P will consult the governor candidate to decide on his running mate, as well as with other supporting political parties," Pramono Anung said.
He also refuted the opinion saying that PDI-P was under pressure because the Golkar Party had beforehand nominated Fauzi Wibowo.
"The decision to nominate Wibowo was not based on the party interest alone but also on the interest of the nation," he said.
He said that as a big party, PDI-P could just nominate its sole candidate without the need to involve in a coalition. But, he added, PDI-P wanted the Jakarta area to become a big home for nationalists. (***)
