Sorry for all the suspense, but tag users... it's time to rejoice, at least a little bit, because we've got something that even the most emo tag user can be happy about -- a great new way to display your tagged posts. And if you haven't been tagging your posts, here's the perfect reason to get started.
Customizable tag boxes If you use the "Boxes" homepage layout (as opposed to "Linear"), you can now create new boxes on your homepage that display content based on the tags you've given them.
That's right, in addition to the usual boxes like "Photos" and "Videos," you can now mix and match tags to your heart's content... and display your creations on your Multiply homepage. If you ever wished for a box displaying your latest posts related to, say, business, pirates and trees, this feature makes your wish come true.
To set this up, just click the familiar "Customize Site" link on your homepage, and follow this with the aptly-titled "Add Tagged Content Box" link. You'll get a pop-up that you can use to set the options for your box -- particularly what should be displayed (pick one or more tags), and how it should be displayed (box title, number of entries to display). Once you've created your box, you can manipulate it like any other content type box: drag it around, hide it, edit it... And here's the best part: you can make multiple tag boxes!
Customizable tag clouds We've also added a new option for the way you display tags on your homepage. Rather than displaying your entire tag cloud at the end of your Welcome Message, you can now save space by choosing to only display a limited number of tags. And if you're the administrator of a group, you now have this setting available to you within your group!
Also customizable: original video download setting On a completely different note, we've had a number of users ask for a way to disable the "Download Original" links for videos they've posted, as you can with photos. Starting now, this is possible. Make sure you've enabled Advanced Posting for your account, and you'll find this option whenever uploading a video, or editing one already uploaded.
So, how are you planning on using these new features? Do you already have custom boxes in mind? Are you planning on going the more extreme route, completely replacing your normal boxes with custom tag boxes?
it's far and away more than i could have imagined ya'll would do with all the "can i have a recipe section?" and "i want to add sections" requests i've been hearing. and as far as i've seen, no other networking site has done anything like this. it's infinitely more customizable than anything i've seen anywhere else (except, of course, when i designed my own website from scratch. what a pain in the butt that was.)

Gold Accounts used to have a limited number of photo, video and audio uploads. When they did away with limits they did away with different levels of accounts as well. So now you have unlimited uploads for free. :-)
I Dont want a gold account I,ll have the Diamond or platinum
lol! the only advantage to having a gold account was that you could upload more than you could with a free account. the only advantage of the diamond or plantinum were that you could upload more and more stuff. but now there are unlimited uploads. so what's the advantage?

I Have found Even after we have SAVED... There dont allways save as we have set them or it.. I Have clicked save & click to refresh list -- ( clicked em all ) It is or they are working with no problem Except for a To small a TAG List box to pick from ( for big sites with hundreds ++ tags ) a small tag box is BAD.......--- I,ll update this as i find more if thats ok..

Have found so far there is a limit on how many items we Can ADD To a NEW Block On a SITE (NOT CHECKED FOR GROUPS YET ) Limit found to be 12 Is there a LIMIT -- If not -- no matter what i do I Can not add more than Twelve [12] Items in to a new block ( tagged ) UPDATED Site NOTES Have come back... I Missed the thread where it said the NOTES On sites have been brought back.. AS THEY Where remove a few weeks ago...Thankyou

Now i wonder if this tag cloud thingy is on sites as well as groups.. I Did see the how many items ONE Time only.. would be nice to see it on the option of adding new blocks.. cause when it has been saved & you re edit it.. it is no longer there & it may be staying at 10 all the time ??

You are amazing people! You know, there was already a lot of requests and discussions about the tags in the MUDS group, and you pick the best idea to develop. It is not a new feature around tags, it is a revolution indeed. It could brings endless options to categorize contents of the site and make it easy to people to found them. Thanks.
To complete this feature, add the ability to customize the main menu bar. Then we could be able to add titles of these new boxes to our menu bar! :)
Hey, there is a small problem! :D This is the case. I created one new box, added some tags to it, then I saved it and everything looks good. Then I found that I need to add some other tags to this box, then I came back and reopen the box to edit it. But I found that the tags I already selected are not readable now!. I am using a forign language. Please check it. It sound like a problem with codepage, unicode or so. :)
The main shortcoming I see with tag boxes is that there isn't a "View all ### entries" link at the bottom of them, so it appears difficult for people to see all the entries I have with a certain tag.

I would like to give suggestion about music, Can you make an option when we want to upload music so that the music that we uploaded can not be downloaded and only can be heard with streaming?
Notes would be handy on sites as well as groups, how about it? Also a tab in the send messages box that you could send to 'all contacts' without having to pick each one by turn...........

Any particular reason why? Tags can easily be used to work as folders -- the only difference is that with tags, content can live in more than one "folder" at a time.
Hi. Wow new feature! How convenience! XD I don't know whether the following problem is it possible to solve? Is it possible to clear away unwanted songs or music files from the history?
I'm not sure why after I uploaded a song, sometimes the music will go super-fast and the singer has chipmunk voice. O_O I had to upload the same song again but I want to clear away the previous song but I can't. So when are you going to implement this?

Naturegloria the music has to be MP3 Only.. any other music format will be fast like ( CHIPMUNK ) or xtra slow Like ( slug ) as you,ve stated.. find out more at Modify.multiply.com
This is a great feature. But is there a way to place our customized tag boxes links at the top of the page too? You know, the line that links to Home Blog Photos Music etc. Thanks!

i don't think there is any limit.
(and if you need an answer, it would be better to ask in the user support group or maye on muds. replies from those groups will pop up on people's message page. posts and replies that are on the multiply blog never make it to the message page.)
Well, one question...how can we delete a tagged content box that we had saved? Because I accidentally saved the wrong tag, and I don't know how to delete it!
Maybe I'm stupid but I've followed your instructions several time and when I go to the "customize Site" link I can't find the "add Tagged Content Box" Link. Am I missing something or is there a step missing or what???
Help please. I understand the tag box and I'm trying to use it but.... first there has to be a tag in the list. How do I get a tag in my tag list to reference the image I want to show up??? If I put the image in my photos then I get the title of that photo file there too. I just want the image to appear, can that be done?

Well, I guess some people don't have enough friends that they have to disable the "Download Original" so that people will HAVE to return to their site. That was a poor choice Multiply. I thought this was a place to share.
