The Multiply Blog

While a cursory Web search for "five million" returns an inordinate amount of doom and gloom, we at Multiply just came across a positive instance of the number.

We're quite proud (overjoyed, really!) to announce that in the early hours this morning, our five millionth registered user joined Multiply. Even more awesome is the fact that we only passed the four million mark less than two and a half months ago! To us, this is nothing short of phenomenal -- the first million took nearly a year and a half!

Just to give you an idea of the scale, this means that if Multiply were a US metropolitan area, our population would be closing in on the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. As a country in Europe, we'd be about on par with Denmark and Finland! As a Philippine province, it'd be nearly one and a half Cebus!

Numbers may be impressive to throw around, but when one remembers that this is a measurement of the number of people who've joined Multiply, it seems even more monumental. Five million people now have access to a better way to securely share their memories with more of the people who matter to them.

So while we'd like to personally thank each and every person who's joined so far... that could be a bit difficult. So we'll thank all of you at once -- you can share. :-)
