A/V
Audio/Video Replies This new feature lets you post audio and video replies directly from your microphone or webcam, to more easily share your life with your friends. If you already own a webcam, you should definitely try out this feature as soon as possible. Seriously. There will be a test. :-)
Webcam Video Posting It's not just for replies anymore! Easily create new video posts directly from your webcam – it's as easy as clicking "Post" and selecting "Video."
Enhanced Flash Video Player We've made some pretty nice changes to the video player. One thing you may want to try is the little eject button in the bottom-right corner... click it to show other videos from that user.
Alerts
Easy Alert Management Remember how easy it used to be to manage your e-mail alerts? (Please, don't answer that!) You'll be pleased to hear that it's now really, really easy to do so right here. (This is also accessible through My E-mail Alerts on your settings page.)
Better What You've Missed Subjects 'What You've Missed' alerts now contain extra information about what you've missed (and from whom you've missed it), right in the subject line.
Preset Inbox Filters While you can still create your own filters, we've automatically added a few new ones that are sure to be helpful, including Unread posts from your Contacts, Subscribed and Personal Messages.
Imports
All-Import Page We've created a new page listing all of our import tools, for all content types, all in one easy-to-use place!
New Contact Imports Have friends on Shutterfly or Kodak Gallery? You now have the option of inviting them to Multiply while you import your photos!
Navigation
New Navigation Links See those tabs at the top of any page, including the brand-new Inbox? They're sure to make navigating Multiply even easier!
Inbox Toolbox Along the right side of your Inbox, you'll find a new "Tools" box, which brings together links to a few of our favorite features, like the Multiply Toolbar and Imports page.

Default Access Setting If you'd like to make absolutely sure you never share anything with a wider audience than you'd intend, this is the feature for you. (Set this up under Posting Options on your settings page.) Remember, this works for all new posts going forward — even posts you import from other services — though it won't change anything that was previously posted to Multiply. Headshot Mouse-overs We've made these a little less easy to mistakenly activate. Now, in order to view a user's mini-profile, just click their mini-headshot, wherever it appears on Multiply.
Recipes and Marketplace Surprise: they're ba-aaack! (If you'd like to enable these content types for your account, you can do so under Posting Options on your settings page.)

Ummm. Why is it no matter where I go in Multiply, I'm hearing the music from my page? While I like it, I don't want to hear it everywhere I go. That's why I have a CD player. Also, the list of songs no longer shows so how is someone supposed to be able to turn off the music or even to change it?
And I see you quietly added transparent tick boxes to the custom site. I knew I loved you for a reason! I can't wait to check out all the new stuff!! Just one question...is it Christmas already ??
You lot are brilliant!!! You've made a lot of people very happy....I must admit when you went down for maintenance I was ready to call it a night but you got all this extra stuff on and everything up and running very quickly...great work -THANK YOU :o)
Bravo, bravo! I love it! I especially love the mini-profile thing! I use the mini-profiles a lot, but it is annoying to have to wait for the mini-profile to load if I just want to go to their page. So far, everything works... but I've got more to test out!
another better improvement! but i still miss the pop-up mini menu that fell down when we rolled the mouse over any users' headshot... it's convenient to see his/her bigger headshot and location...
Hmmmmmmmm, ok. We'll see. I tried the Multiply toolbar before and was not impressed with it. A shortcut on my desktop was just as effective. Let me play around with it a few days.
My music is now right again. I do however miss the mouse-over thing. Yes before that was activated right away, but the way it is now, when I want to block or even delete someone, I have to go to their page to do it. Or is there another way, and I'm just not seeing it right now?
Other than that, I'm loving the new items.

I used one of the pre customed themes.. but the option we had before that was customis your own it was a very simple one doesn't seen to be there any more????

Look around there and read the homepage. It's not a support group, but a group to make suggestions to the Developers. Make sure you search first, as many are already there. :)
Oh wow.. You just HAVE to check out that UP/DOWN (eject) button on each video!! You can actually scroll through all the other vidz there while still watching the one you are on!
Hi Multiply team! I have just enabled my recipe and marketplace section. But I just noticed that when I go to Search Content section, these two sections are still not found in the categories. Thought I'd let ya know. Thanks for the new stuff!
problem solved for the most part...the header is still to large but making the header background transparent made that acceptable so I'm a happy girl! Thanks multiply for all the great work you do!
You guys rock!! (dancing all over the page) ........every day I love this place more. I only wish I had that recipe part sooner. Now Ill have to transfer many by hand and I have tons .....sigh. Oh well cant have everything.......(or can we? hehhee)

hey i need help. how do u convert an m3u file to wma, mp3 or other formats that is acceptable in multiply. i want to upload some songs but they're all in m3u format, how do i convert them? plz help? tnx a lot
i'm not sure what's going on with my page, but i cannot customize my site at ALL, not my CSS nor can i choose another theme. i click on the link and absolutely nothing happens. my page viewing history is GONE, and the mini-profiles are gone too (yes i did click on the head shot). what happened??

I had left a comment about my background having disappeared as well as the ability to get into change it. The function has since reappeared and works. Thanks.
Something would be nice would be to float the function access bar with the multiply, Inbox and other tabs on it so that it is available without having to scroll up to get to it. or do I have something set incorrectly.
I just dont like the new Multiply layout. First, sites now look wasted and dis-organized because Multiply is now incompatible with Firefox. Second, I really didn't like the design. It's cheap. It's patterned on a mail service site like Yahoo. Well, this is only my opinion.
the title "inbox" is a little weird for that tab, and not strictly accurate, because it's not an inbox. it's a message board, a discussion board, an news feed. . . arrg it's hard being a perfectionist. . .

I haven't gotten to check out all the updates as of yet, but they sound great! I will have to agree with 'mhenreckson' though. The 'INBOX' sounds like a place for my PM's to go.

Multiply still works better with Firefox, and works the same. You must clear your temp/cache files and keep them clean when working on any website with features. Especially new features.
I love the changes to the video feature! I'm very new at this and still learning how to maximize my Multiply page but it looks really great. Especially the scroll thingy under the screen. Thanks for the change!

I deleted my gotitgetitgood about to take advantage over the default access feature. Thanx multiply! The little tweaks like this here and there (new layouts,ect) mean the most to us. KEEP IT UP!!!! Next thing you should do is make the option avavlible to have a customized inbox...like green red blue, ect insted of white all the time.....!!!!

i tried already for the video reply and audio reply but i don't understand why i can't do right away as much as i can after i give a comment by video or audio to one person i have to wait again for 5 or 10 menit until is working again and i can use it can u help me pls to set up more fast for audio reply and video reply or is like this ??? thank you very much multiply
Hey folks.. thanks for trying so hard to make this a place that is fun and on the edge of new technology.. but the customize my site is gone from my page.. It is the easy route to do that kind of thing.. the only route in some instances .. and it is GONE! Do I need to turn it into the techs for fixing stuff or is this all the notification I need to send in?.. You guys have me confused again.. hehehe.. sorry but .. change is certainly something which takes some us a long time to handle!

I'm not too happy with the nav links. They screwed with my layout. I'm one of those OC people that likes my layout neat and tidy and the way it is now ... anything but! Why in the world are there 2 lines of links anyway, when it is possible to fit them in 1 line?

concept is good, implementation needs some work - updates to flash player seem to play handful of videos only and mostly seems to play last one regardless of which is selected - even after shutting down and logging off.

There are no more mini profile HOVER popups. There are still miniprofiles. Just single click a headshot in a thread. Move your mouse, and it goes away.
I'm glad that the marketplace feature is back, since I would want to post items for sale in my Multiply account. cheers to Multiply for a job well done! more power to Multiply. :D
Remember though, not to use Multiply as a commercial or business site. Only the occasional things around the house you may want to sell. I use mine also for requesting information on things by ticking the "wanted" option. My contacts reply with what they know about something that I don't. (Like a coffeemaker you may want to buy but want to know if anyone knows anything about it first)
I have already noticed the new addtion. I love the inbox. I came here from Yahoo 360 and I must say it took some getting used to, but I love it here. Your site is cool!
the update is really cool. tho i have a problem removing contacts.since contact options won't be available now when you hover one's mouse to the headshot, how am i be able to delete them? pls pm. me.thanks! :D

RIGHT THE MOUSE OVER IS GONE BUT THE PROFILE IS STILL THERE. JUST DOUBLE CLIKING WORKED JUST FINE DIDN'T NEED ALL THAT LOADING. WOULD LIKE THE TURN OFF OPTION BACK..THAT'S JUST CLUTTER TO ME
I tried these today. There were many problems with them.
1) After doing one trial, in order to do another I was forced to close Multiply, close Explorer, and start it all up again. It did not recognize doing a second consecutive audio or video. It was very frustrating. I finally gave up.
2) The video let me record as long as I wanted but when I was finished it kept only the first 17 seconds. Everything after that was not there upon watching, or posting.
3) The quality of the video (I have an expensive webcam that takes amazing megapixel photos and is the clearest video I have ever seen) came out as if we were looking through crinkled milky cellophane. The quality was hideous.
I won't be using video again due to these problems.
4) The audio was excellent quality and allowed me to make one recording as long as I wanted. If I needed to make another one, or redo it, once again I was forced to shut everything down again and start it all up.
Having to shut explorer down, and sometimes even reboot the computer so that the "active x" is recognized a second time around with your software was extremely frustrating.
If these issues are not tended to, the audio and video reply options will not be anything that anyone can use.
I have noticed a problem with the video update, when you goto videos posted several months ago it will play the most recently uploaded video, I hope this is a temporary issue, Thanks
I love it over here also and have encouraged many of my 360 friends to join. We appreciate the upgrades and it doesn't take long to become highly addicted to Multiply! As someone else has pointed out, the guestbook delete feature could really use an upgrade. Many people show up at my site simply to chat and it's convenient to remain there. Deleting comments after one day of chat would take hours.

Is there or will there be away in time to add text as well in to a post that weve added a sound thingie in to as well as the vocal of whatever,,,, cause loads would wonder what it is & some text to go with it may help some deside weather to listen to it or not... Help please! How can I set it up so that people will not be able to leave audio/video replies on my site? I have looked at the settings and can't see such an option.
OK, now that I've had some time to play around with the new settings , I really like what you've done. I especially like having the transparency options on the "custom colors" theme. EXCELLENT touch ! Multiply score +15480 , Yahoo score - 16385 LOL You guys ROCK !
The headshot click instead of mouse-over thing is terrific! It's an upgrade I didn't know I needed till I had it.. I hadn't realized how often I accidentally activated it till it wasn't there anymore. Wonderful!
I can't post comments on other blogs unless someone ahead of me has posted one. Nor can I post in any guestbook at anytime. I hope you will give the "footprints" back. It helps to notify us when unsavory people visit our sites so we can block them if they don't post any comment. It's a feature I personally appreciate a lot for obvious security reasons.

the # of albums/blogs, etc ..i like that visible. it helps to know how many posts i have for public view and how many i've set to private(network and contacts)..

I love all the inovations and the things that you improve. Suggestion: It would be nice if you allow java script to make possible insert Last.fm tables, for example.
That's one thing I'm glad of. Didn't really need that... If they want to know they can go look. Unfortunately it's still on the guestbooks though. I'd like to see that come off also.
I liked to know let's say I have like 100 writings in my blog etc. Why did it disappear? *wondering* (The guestbook does not concern me, I do not use it.)

No sé por cual razón tengo esta única opción en mi página desde hace días y no me permite colocarle comentarios a mis amigos en sus espacios. No sé si toqué un botón indebidamente. Es lo más seguro. Thats all a GREAT improvement, i suggest : 1. Receipe and Marketplace work on Group too 2. Make Arrange Layout work on Group, both for photos and videos
If anyone used an embed code for one of their graphics in a gb, then it throws an advertising banner on it. (Another reason not to use those codes unless you know how to edit them yourself) Remove the reply and it will remove that.

The Multiply Video Player sucks and since the 'improvements' it is worse than before! Whenever I ask about problems I have with it where it is not working properly I'm told to clear my Temp/Cache files and reboot......what a load of garbage! I watch videos at YouTube, Dailymotion and at many other websites and never have any problems......I only have problems here at Multiply! Youtube or any other website never ask me reboot or clear my temp/cache files before I watch videos so, why do I have to do it here? There are problems with the video player and they need to be fixed! The videos take far too long to start and when some of them do it's usually not the one that was selected.

Well, It seems I celebrated too early... lol. There's a bug in the video player functionality, it misses a "back" button! For instance, in the video below:

i have a question if anyone can help me i would be grateful, i just bought a dvd digitical camcorder samsung,easy to use yes, but i found it difficult to understand the manuel as how to transfer my pics onto a dvd so i can watch it on tv, we can watch on the tv only through it being in the camcorder and plugged into the tv, but i would like to copy onto a dvd from the small dvd disk from the camcorder,does anyone know how todo this and can help please,as i am knew to this and these today gadgets are soooo confuseing and never as straight forward as they should be lol. would appreciate anyones help thanks soooooo much

There seems to be a problem with importing from photobucket. Unless you have pictures that aren't in a folder, it doesn't import. :| All my picture in PB are in a folder, and whenever I try to import to Multiply it claims that there are no video or image files in my account. Remedy, please?
I don't know who to contact about my suggestion but I will write it here in hopes it goes somewhere. On the customized themes - I would like to asked if someone would develop some country & western themes for rugged cowboys and men who don't want something frilly and flowerly. I looked through all the customized themes that people developed and there was nothing to choose from. Men want to have a rugged look to match their personality - can someone take this and make some new men themes for the manly man?? Hope to hear from someone or see some of these soon. Thanks
I love multiply.com coz i can send everythhing to my friend thru the blog. i can send notes, i can send a song, i can send a video...........so, what i ever my impression can be expressed via the blog.....
OK, since this multiply.multiply.com don't have the private message option nor the guest book option, I guess this spot is the right one for giving an idea.
I'm just thinking, Multiply.com is the greatest one so far for blogging, soo far from my personal experience.
But it would be nice and more "intresting" if you guys at web-master department installed the smiley, so users can express them self . I believe it wont be taking soo much space on the server to install the smiley. What I'm talking in here is just a basic smiley, like the one on Yahoo. (and I believe 98% of Multiply users using Yahoo as well).
Just a thought, but hey, better shout it out right ?.

I'd like so much to can import videos from Dailymotion just as we do with You tube videos (insert the link and save). Dailymotion has great sound and image!!! It's better than You Tube but much better than metacafe and the others.

Hola a todos. Tengo un problema para publicar mis videos. Tengo una cuenta premium que en teoria me permite subir 1 GB, sin limite de tiempo. Bien, me ocurre que cuando intento subir este, sale un icono diferente (Como cuando te pedía actualizar Quick Time) y al pinchar en él, se pone a descargarlo sin poder visualizarlo. ¿Me podeis ayudar?
