Many users lavished us with high praise (thanks!) for the recent changes we made to the way photo albums are viewed on Multiply: faster and easier than ever.
If you share photos on Multiply — over 2,000,000 are shared daily, so we've reason to believe you may — or even if you don't, but just enjoy viewing others', we've yet another reason for you to be happy. Now, when viewing a photo, the next photo in the album will actually begin loading in the background, just waiting for you to click "next."
It was definitely fast before, but you should now see photos loading a little... more instantly.
i just checked out an album and noticed that the first pic wasn't preloaded. (it was the blown up thumbnail that you described, everdred.) but all the rest loaded lickity-split. very nice.
You can always watermark them yourself before uploading. Or, a better idea would be following revelationsandfables' advice and sharing only with people you trust.
My mind...she is blown! I can't believe how fast the browsing has become! So all those complaints about the pixelation before the loading of a bad picture not worth waiting for has been resolved! One thing though, I still want to know if there was a way I could change the color of the photo tool bar where it says "previous" and "next" because yellow clashes with my overall gray color scheme.

That will be a part of an upcoming release.... thanks for the feedback!
I just want to know if you could possibly create a "sub" photo album especially for group accounts.. so everybody in the group has their own "main" photo album then inside would be a bunch of yet another photo albums.. so photos can get organized per member...
Really? read again... How about those users with complaints... There's a few complaints in there. I hate watermark too... I find the Add Facebox thingy annoying. It breaks the theme especially the colour (I like the previous one...the one before the upgrade). THere are times that some Image appears to be jaggy and washed out. Hitting the back button is not the same as before.... having an options (in the Settings) for the problem above would be a nice idea...
...but then again... I know it's a free service so I guess I'll just shut up.
I didn't realise there was so many whiners in here. You moan or agree about the music taken away, yet when it comes to electronic data theft, you stick your noses in the air as if it were not an issue. Yes! you could share it with x, y and z person only. You could also watermark it prior to upload (not many would do that though!)
If you don't know, you can place an image over another image using php. There could be an option to have it on or off.
However, I did only say it "would be nice", I did NOT ask for this.

Now, to be fair, it didn't say that it was universally loved. "Many" sounds appropriate to me.
As far as colors and themes, as you'll see above, Pez replied stating that this would be fixed in the future.
Jaggy and washed out? Have you been seeing this in the last day or so? While I wouldn't use those particular words to describe it, I suppose "jaggy" could be one way to describe the pixelated preview images that used to be shown in place of the images before they loaded. "Washed out"... that sounds like a color issue, and resizing images doesn't change their color.
You can, in theory, go back to the previous album options by disabling JavaScript in your browser, as it's still available as a fall-back for browsers not supporting JavaScript. (Note, however, if you do so, you may find other stop working, both on Multiply and the rest of the web.)
Quick question... speaking of photos, I notice now I can't drag and drop from Flickr. Multi doesn't use java script. I am guessing I need to go to my browser and turn it off? Yes? No? I use Mozilla Firefox.
I do huge photo blogs, copy and pasting html codes for each pictures makes it a little time consuming to say the least........
any tips? I want to be able to drag and drop again.

this is a good suggestion! I'd want a sub-album feature too :) Thanks for all the other updates, too! I wouldn't mind paying for upgraded services, too when that becomes available.
My experience is that it is much more slowly now because it does not work with my standard browser Opera.
I just had a look at an album in Opera (Opera/9.25 (X11; Linux i686; U; en)) and albums worked perfectly. If you're using an older version, perhaps try upgrading?

I like this idea, too! Let's just hope Multiply will do this in the future! ;p
Praise the LORD,I thank GOD for seeing my sisters and my brothers in christ, they told me about this great place to be.We all share the goodiness of GOD on multiply. Thank you all. it is Great, I LOVE IT. GOD BLESS

I use Opera Opera/9.20 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; en). I miss the back funktion. After viewing one picture I want sometimes to back to the whole album via pressing "z" or "Alt" with "left" or use the mouse and the "back button". This does not work. After that I come back to the home pre picture page.
maybe you could make it go instantly too to the thumbnail you were viewing after viewing enlarging it and clicking back, so there wouldn't be much of a hassle of finding that thumbnail again. :)
I think this site is great, I enjoy making my own layouts...i have alot of fun with that being a comp nerd and listening to my music. I think the option to upload vids is awesome, the fact that u can use graphics in comments on any part of the page is very cool. If whiners could make their own perfect page they would, so until they do i think ur doing an abfab job on multiply. I'm a yahoo 360 migrator and I love it here on multiply :) that audio reply thing is pretty cool too lol
There is still a backward step in searching for photos. Previously, before you went to Google, we would see the photos on the search pages and then had the option of selecting our Contacts only, without having to search through the World and its Neighbout to find what we want.
I think the photo browsing is slow. And this new photo-uploading thing hangs and it's infuriating that it hangs in the middle of all the photo upload --- AFTER you've placed all the titles for the photos, it hangs it you lose it all!
The older one was better.

ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL: For all we know, we love music. any trends, hyper or mellow, so that's why we are the ones who patronize this site. But the bad news is, the multiply system updates their strict policies when it comes to music. so that's why the system DELETES all DIRECT DOWNLOAD. As of my own observation, those music that previously uploaded remains the same & aside from the fact that it seems its SO VERY UNFAIR when MULTIPLY "DISABLES" it when if someone's visiting in other multiply site & attempting to download of that content. Well, either we personalized our privacy content but if u check those sites who are in the other way of posting in PUBLIC mode, no icons of "DOWNLOAD" appears! if you are concerned for this matter, spread this message to everyone!
