Separate Online Buddy settings Yes, the wait is finally over! The things you now share with your contacts, whether it's your content or profile information, may now be selectively shared (or not, if you choose) with your "Online Buddy" contacts. (Confused? Click here for a complete explanation.)
Flash-enhanced photo slideshows Using our certifiably awesome Flash-based video player as a base, we've created a slick, optimized photo slideshow player. Find your favorite photo album and give it a try; it is nothing short of amazing. (Cool bonus thing: you can now embed slideshows of your photo albums elsewhere on the Interwebs, just like you can videos!)
Filter Inbox by your replies We've added a new filter to everyone's Inbox. It's called "I've Replied" – select it to filter your Inbox to only display content to which you've replied, making it easier to keep track of the conversations you're interested in. (As with all filters, click the "Custom" link you'll find near the top of your Inbox to set it.) In addition to this preset filter, there's a brand-new "only posts I've replied to" option that can be added to any custom filter.
Block HTML in your guestbook The choice is yours – you can now choose to only allow others to leave text replies to your guestbook. Say good riddance to large, flashy, glittery animated images (and other paragons of tasteful, modern graphic design.) Unless, of course, you like that sort of thing. If you do, feel free to continue allowing them on your guestbook.
Easier social bookmarking If you ever link to great content you find on Multiply using an outside "social bookmarking" service, you'll be pleased to know that we've replaced the old, individual bookmarking links with a simple, single link to an outside service responsible for keeping these links up to date. (Click the "Share" link you'll find under any post, followed by the "Add to" link.)
Photo album navigation beautification You guys asked for it, and here it is. We've made navigating Multiply's great new (fasterer) photo albums more visually pleasing, making the text controls look like they actually belong on your page.
Fix for deleted guestbook replies If you've ever deleted a reply from your guestbook, are you tired of seeing "Comment deleted..." in its place? Us too. That's why we've come up with a pretty intelligent way to not display those... while also preserving the guestbook's reply pagination.
New contact imports Actually, they're old... but new again! We're proud to welcome back our contact import tools for Myspace and Friendster. We've missed ya, ol' buddies.
Now, wasn't that both pretty soon and a lot more than you were expecting?

I like the new slideshow but it has one flaw. There seems to be an inappropriately small area for the Photo title, even when viewing full screen. If the name of your photo isn't relatively short then it gets cut off.
The guestbook entry html block is a wonderful thing.

There's no need to move them from online-buddy to friend, unless you've been posting all of your content for "friends only". Having them in different categories now just gives you more options going forward.

It isn't unless you enable it. To do so, edit your Guestbook as you normally would ("Customize My Site" and click the appropriate "Edit" link) and enable the "Don't allow HTML in comments" option.

I absolutely love the slide show feature. Very nifty! I will miss the ability to post a link or, say, italics in guestbooks, but it is a small price to pay for a well ordered and well laid out page.

I dont think you will lose this ability - unless the guestbook you are adding to, decided to use the "block html" - you have to choose it if you want to lose it

Still wish we didn't have to jump through hoops to get to the filters - drop down on the inbox page would be great!!!
LOL, I probably won't use most of those features, but I want to say thanks anyway, because you guys are so great at listening to what people want and responding to it. And I'm just SO HAPPY that the Guestbook comments are now showing as New notifications again! Yippee, Multiply are wonderful :D

You guys are too cool, now, can we have tick boxes next to the entries in our "inbox" so that we can delet a whole load at once instead of only one at a time? Ta muchly!
Of course it doesn't. Do you think that you need that? To remind yourself that you JUST commented on your own guestbook? :-)
oh..ok3x..just to ensure though..sorry..but still..it shows blue colour once only..initially.. subsequent new comments still show up in grey colour..;/
Love the photo slideshow! The new posting options are great too, one thing more would make it perfect....... A checkbox in the custom filter settings to exclude online buddies would be a welcome shortcut.

Sorry but this is off topic.....But when I use the "custom theme" with my own picture to download, why is the picture so large. This was never a problem for me before. Even using the same picture. Someone help me PLEASE.....

Sorry, where do you see it? All my albums doesn't have the text in upper case. Maybe your custom theme is causing this...
i think she's talking about having NO caption at all. if you delete the photo's file name and click save, as in when you're in the edit mode of a photo album, the file name's still there! ie: 100_123.jpg auto-delete captions would be a nice bonus too.

With the new feature, you can't click on a pic and reply to it anymore can you? That's why i use slideshow in the first place! EDIT: i meant, you have to go to the album and click on the thumbnail to reply to that one pic. Unlike before you can go to slideshow and clicking on an image will directly take you to the thumbnail so you can post a reply. Very small issue but all in all i am happy with the upgrades.

I see. But tell me about it please Pez; There are many kind people that add me and I don´t know anything about them. they wish to be my friends and choose "friend" in the invitation. But I don´t want to take risks about their contents appearing to the ones I really know. And don´t want to be unkind to them declining their invitation without a reason. I asked you for a feature, in the moment of accepting as invitation, like:

and another feature related to this issue, downgrading the now "friends" that we don´t want to delete but don´t want to have them properly as "friends", because they may like to post improper posts every now and then.

As for the ability to downgrade friends to online buddies, this feature already exists: just go to your Contacts page, click on the selected contact's headshot and in the menu that pops up you'll find the option you need: "Change Relationship"

I agree with you! We want downloading and sharing of our music files back! This is what makes this site unique! Now that this feature is removed (temporarily), I hope that they will bring it back, but please, no third party service that will handle this feature! Only Multiply and Multiply alone can provide that kind of service, and not Mercora. I admit, that 30-40% of my music collection are from personal and group pages of Multiply alone. And let me reiterate this message by one of the groups that I've joined: Sharing (music) is not stealing!

i don't think its nice of you to say that ..bluzone.. here you are ..a Multiply user n now quoting the link there.. y not we all gather our support to Multiply cos of what they are facing with EMI now instead? let us just hope everything will be resolved soon..
great new features! i'm still waiting for that little boxes at the end of every post that we can tick and do a multiple/batch delete rather than the usual one-by-one style that we have now.
