We just released a couple small enhancements that we're sure varying percentages of loyal Multiply users are sure to enjoy!
Quick(ly) Remove Inbox items So let's say you don't want to see content from groups you're in or users to whom you're connected, but for some reason, also don't want to leave the group or remove the contact. Let's also say they post a lot, so clicking the remove link next to each individual post, then clicking "OK" on the warning is just way too much trouble.
What's a Multiply user to do (aside from de-associating themselves from these contacts or groups)? Just head over to your Inbox preferences and enable the brand new Quick Remove preference... but remember that you need to first enable the Show Subscribe, Pin and Remove option, of course, to remove items in the first place!
This will eliminate the warning message you'll otherwise get when removing an item from your Inbox. But be sure to click carefully! "Remove" means just that, and as always, there's still no way to restore an item back to your Inbox once you've chosen to remove it.
As an aside, we think now is a good time to remind you that there's really no need to remove items from your Inbox; items you ignore (i.e. stop viewing) will fall down the page as new items are added. Unlike other "inbox"es you may be used to using, there's no storage limit on Multiply!
Safari + Blogging = <3
For Mac users who like their operating system's default browser (or Windows users curious to see how the other half lives), we're proud to say that it's now possible to use Multiply's rich-text blog compose tool in Safari!
Oh, thank you so much. I use Safari as it seems to be faster for me. Now I don't have to use as much html to make things look like I want them to. Great idea, nice edition, love it. :)
on the quick remove change all I have to say is.....I love you all.....excellent.......thank you......heaven sent. Can you tell I'm happy over the change.....lol

Also, it's being reported that when someone comments in a guestbook, the headshot on your guestbook changes to the person's who leaves the last comment? LOL

same thing happens if u post a comment in their guestbook.. ur headshot will appear instead of the owner of the guestbook..
I am seeing the icon of someone who left a comment on a friends' guestbook, but I don't know the person who commented. This is confusing.. what's it supposed to be good for, may I ask?
You have to go find it. lol But yes it can be re added. Same with guestbooks. Remove them but go find them and comment, and it's back. Nice to have this backdoor just in case.
Ok,,, I may understand you'll fixing stuff, but when ya'll came back online, I could nto get back on my site for almost an hour or so... It was very very slow... This too needs to be taken into considerations as I was not the only one wiht the problem....

hi help!!! i cant blog using your new features on my mac. when i click save..the only thing that comes out of my blog is the title!! i cannot use any of they smileys, change the fonts, insert pictures. i can use the link but i hardly use that and still, without my main blog it wouldmean nothing!! please help!!

this is with safari? if so, then you should probably let the customer service folks know exactly what is happening and what version of safari you're using.
**Multiply-Mac Problems** Hi ninsc. Yes, I noticed the same thing on my Mac!! I cannot edit past blogs or add new ones with Safari or Firefox when using the Mac platform. The only thing it will save is the title. I haven't figured out how to fix this. It used to work before the most recent Multiply updates. Anyone have better luck? I just emailed Customer Service.

As Meg suggested, your version of Safari is possibly to blame.
It's likely that the rich-text editor will only work in Safari 3 and above, as Safari's support for the standard around which the blog editor was built wasn't done quite right in previous versions.
You should be able to install Safari 3 on the two latest versions of OS X, though.
I had to stop in to thank Multiply for adding the "one click" deletion on the Inbox page. This is a Godsend!!! I have spent more time deleting things from contacts I was not interested in, in order to get to the stuff I wanted to see. (I know they eventually fall off but I'm kind of a neat freak - smiles) This feature has saved me time and anxiety!
My Mac (Intel Core Duo) has Safari 3 and am having similar problems as Ninsc.
For example: when I try to post a video using the codes, from say YouTube, what it does is extend the box so far that a scroll bar appears. Then after "publishing" the video is no where to be seen - just the code and the site to find the video.
Also- when I put in the code and checked the HTML "box"- it still did the same thing.

Are you clicking the "Edit HTML" box before or after pasting the code?
You'll need to do it before (to enter Edit HTML mode) to get it to work. After you paste (or write by hand, if you're hardcore :) the code, you can uncheck the box to get back to the normal edit mode. Unfortunately, however, you won't see the embedded video until you save your blog entry.
Wonderful news!! Now I'll hold my breath until we have the same Quick Remove for our guestbooks ; )
I agrre with you on that score. Another good change regarding the Guestbook would be to cease totally sending e-mail alerts, after all, if we use our pages we see who's written in our own, we need not be told that "Fred has written in Alices book" especially as I don't know either of them. John

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU . I just used that inbox improvement and it rocks! Its quick and I dont get that verify if your human thing. Someone just imported a ton of blogs and it eliminated them fast. I love it!

why is it that i am not able to post my blog entry? am using macbook. whenever i post my blog, in my inbox only the title of my blog can be seen and all my entries are lost. why is it so? please help me. thanks
***Mac users: **** I am still having problems with saving blog entries on a Mac platform, with either Sarafi or Firefox. Customer service said that Multiply is compatible with 10.4 systems. I am still waiting to hear about what people can do if they are working on older Macs. Anyone have luck?

ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL: For all we know, we love music. any trends, hyper or mellow, so that's why we are the ones who patronize this site. But the bad news is, the multiply system updates their strict policies when it comes to music. so that's why the system DELETES all DIRECT DOWNLOAD. As of my own observation, those music that previously uploaded remains the same & aside from the fact that it seems its SO VERY UNFAIR when MULTIPLY "DISABLES" it when if someone's visiting in other multiply site & attempting to download of that content. Well, either we personalized our privacy content but if u check those sites who are in the other way of posting in PUBLIC mode, no icons of "DOWNLOAD" appears! if you are concerned for this matter, spread this message to everyone!

So if I understand this correctly, I have an item that one of my contacts has posted to all their contacts and I receive incoming messages every time someone responds to that message. By doing what you have stated above, I will no longer receive all those messages? Is that correct? Sometimes I don't even respond to the thread, but because the person has sent it to all their contacts...all contacts get any response to that thread...very annoying...giggles!
Also, is there a way to provide a search to the custom themes so one doesn't have to scroll through every page looking for a topic or theme they may want?
