New(ish) Feature: Compact Viewing History

Going over the replies some astute users left on our recent feature announcement post, it seems we actually forgot to announce a (albeit small) feature we added along with the other two. Our mistake!

It's now possible to have your Viewing History pages display views from users in "Compact" mode.

Why is this great? With Compact mode, you can more easily get an overview of the people who've viewed a page on your site, or a particular piece of your content. You'll even see their headshots. Think: more information in less space.

We've also upgraded our "Headshot" view to a more sensible three-column mode that works just like Compact, just a bit larger.

As a side-note, if you're concerned with who's viewing your content, we'd like to remind you that the power to share your content intelligently — that is, as privately as you like — is in your hands! For more information on Multiply's access controls, see this FAQ.

I have been using it and it did cross my mind that either you forgot to announce it or it's not that important for you. Well, for me it is important.
The minute I sign in - I always open another browser especially for "Viewing History for Entire Site" so that I can see all visits in one glance.
I prefer the table view and to have all of them on 1 page now without having to scroll up and down is perfect!

My "relationships" don't fit in the boxes ..must be too long or something but "Freds,sisters friends business partner" was just all squashed up on Compact mode, the part where it says when they viewed is covered by the box under it ...mines not all neat like you have in your screenshot

As someone else said I'd rather be able to click and go too what they looked at and have the viewing history available from my Inbox as it is I never look at it only from the bottom of posts I make

Kudos and thanks for the additional columns in compact mode. I love how this works for a general overview of visitors to one's entire Multiply niche. To find out when visits happened, table mode is still best. Thank goodness switching back and forth between styles is quick. Great job, Multiply! ♥

I hadn't really noticed that as I don't often look at who's viewed my site, though I really like this option. It's easier to know who these people are by headshot recognition.

Now, on a semi-related note... the view history for a specific user thing doesn't work that well for me in the group. Is that because I don't have permissions to view viewing history for stuff I didn't post (even though I'm admin)?

When an invitation was accepeted, an email will be recieved that the invitation was accepeted, right???
I hope you would also send an email if the invitation was decLined and the user who decLined it. Thank you.

Yes! (I'm sure this has been suggested.)

And thank you Multiply for the compact view, it is handy. I just have one problem with both the compact and headshot view - when I click on someone's headshot I get redirected straight to their site, unlike in other situations where we can see a mini-profile. I wonder if this is deliberate, or if it's just a glitch?

When I see that Joe Bloggs has viewed my blog, I'm curious to see who Joe Bloggs is, but not necessarily curious enough to visit his site. Also the mini-profile is where we could easily send a PM, or even block a user if necessary.

Now, more than ever, would be great to have a link in the top of the page to access directly the viewing history to the entire site. I check that page every day, but to do so, I've added it to my favorites.

Just drag the url to the viewing history you want, into your browser bar (or a folder there). Then you have quick access to it. Another way of bookmarking only quicker access.

i agree with this one... and i dont even know which song is copyrighted... i just hope they would do that (suspend the account first until the copyrighted songs are deleted) or they can tell us which song is copyrighted instead of deleting all of our playlist... if that is not too much too ask then it would be great...

i love my multiply account and i dont want it to get deleted...

Is there anyway to delete a PM from my inbox once I have read it. Other wise it continues to re-service, if it has been sent to multiple people. Also I was wondering if it is possible for you to develop an, "alert" that a friend has just left us a comment or a PM? Not one for the email but one that would pop open in small separate window? I also wanted to say I think this is the best site out there, thank you for all the work you do:)

How about doing something similar in the My Contacts page. I'd like to see the current status of my contacts without having to visit their site and look at the right rail there. Why don't you add the online status info to each of the contacts when we view My Contact page?
Or is that too much resource consuming for a browser? Well, maybe it doesn't have to be real-time. You can just refresh it when we reload the page.

ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL: For all we know, we love music. any trends, hyper or mellow, so that's why we are the ones who patronize this site. But the bad news is, the multiply system updates their strict policies when it comes to music. so that's why the system DELETES all DIRECT DOWNLOAD. As of my own observation, those music that previously uploaded remains the same & aside from the fact that it seems its SO VERY UNFAIR when MULTIPLY "DISABLES" it when if someone's visiting in other multiply site & attempting to download of that content. Well, either we personalized our privacy content but if u check those sites who are in the other way of posting in PUBLIC mode, no icons of "DOWNLOAD" appears! if you are concerned for this matter, spread this message to everyone!

***nakakainis lang pinaghirapan at pinagpuyatan ko ang mga songs sa site ko para maishare sa inyo lahat....pakipasa lang sayang naman kc mga pwede natin maishare sa kpwa multipliers natin.....kung ito naman ang magiging daan tungo sa pagkakaroon ng bagong kaibigan o patatagin ang samahan...

The features are great, the only one I take issue with is the one that shows me online, or the last time I logged in. When I log into multiply I think that's my business and not anyone else's.
