Blog EntryMake Mother's Day memorable with MultiplyMay 9, '08 2:40 PM
for everyone
It's early May, dear Multiply users, and this means only one thing.

Well, it may actually mean a number of things, but if you remembered that Mother's Day is once again upon us, that means you're thinking like we're thinking.

If you're a mother who uses Multiply... that's great! You already know how easy Multiply makes sharing your media and keeping in touch with the people you know: not only your kids, but other relatives, friends, and those sorts of people.

You don't have to be a mother to enjoy Multiply — it's a great place for anyone to post their photos and videos (such as those taken during Mother's Day activities) and share them with more of the people they know. Like, naturally, their mother!

Since Mother's Day is a family holiday, now would be a good time to remind you that Multiply provides not only privacy options for sharing with precisely the people you choose, but also the best tools (like Live Replies and extensive alert options) for keeping the discussion around content lively.

And if you happen to be a mother... happy Mother's Day to you. :-)

Nice thought, but might I remind you that we're not all Americans here... (It may be Mother's Day in the US but not in the whole wide world.)

I'm proud to say that my mom - who wouldn't even consider other social networking sites because of concerns over privacy, online crooks and general idiocy - is on Multiply. As are my wife, my sister-in-law, two aunts and seven cousins... and I think I missed one or two. :)

Oh, and meirav, I think it's Mother's Day in Australia, too. I can't for the life of me figure out why Australia would follow the US approach instead of the UK one. Maybe it's because the US doesn't think Australians are all criminals... ;)

Not only in the US. In 62 other countries too.

Happy mothers' day to all the moms in the world!
Mom-ship is the hardest, most complicated yet priceless job that is out there! I salute them!

Where ever you are, it doesn't matter which country you are in, mothers are celebrated regardless the date of when to celebrate it :)

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums out there!

From a Multiply Mum :-)

And if you are in a country that isn't celebrating, take the day off anyway. You deserve it ;-)

meirav is right, Mothers day in the UK is the 1st March. Naturally, other countries celebrate mothers day on different dates too like the Greek I think is on the 2nd of Feb. (don't quote me on that) :)

Hi Multipliers,

Yes, it's Mother's Day soon. It's time to reckon the great happenings our dear mothers have done to make us who we are today . My Mom is one of them. Know what friends, my Mom is already 83 years old and she's still very active. She wears no eye glasses and she hears every sound even of the chirping crickets. She's so great. We thank God for giving us a mother like her. She sacrificed a lot inorder to come up with what we are. They've got 2 Priests, 2 Medical Technologists, 1 Mechanical Engineer & a Public School Teacher. Isn't it great. That's how God blessed us with a Mother. She's the most wonderful Mother in the whole world. Happy Mother's Day NANAY ! We love you. A hug from us your children. Wish you a lot more Mother's day to come. God bless.

Sorry... I'm just reading this whole blog as one long advertisement for Multiply. If you want to wish mom's happy mother's day then just say so, as you did at the end, and be done with it.

Thanks Dan and Arjay for correcting me - I didn't know there were other countries that used the same date as the US.

I'm Israeli and when I was a kid we celebrated Mother's Day at some date which I don't remember according to the Hebrew calendar. I now live in the UK, where they celebrate Mothering Sunday on a particular Sunday in Lent, so the date varies.

Sorry if I ruffled people's feathers, I'm afraid I'm just a born nitpicker. I have a friend who calls me Mrs Fine-Tooth Comb :-)

I don't see anything wrong with what was written. We must remember that this is still a business, and businesses are going to advertise. The Multiply staff could have ignored Mother's Day altogether. I think that it's nice that they at least acknowledged it.

Happy Mother's Day to Me! As far as i remember, Dec. 1991 nangibang-bansa ang Mother ng aking 4 kids. The eldest was 10 & the youngest was 1& 4mos old.. Every 2 years lang siya kung umuwi just to spend a 1 month vacation. Almost 17 years siyang nasa abroad. Marami na siyang naipong pera at nabiling lupa. Ngayon. Anyway, Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers.

it's ok meirav. it's good to know you only have the good intentions and are apologetic. whatever the date we celebrate Mother's Day, it's no big deal. the important thing is: WE CELEBRATE! because they are the best. and so deserve the very best. for me, everyday is Mother's Day. my best wishes meirav, dan and arjay.
