by Marc for everyone
Just a few weeks ago we announced that Multiply is now available in Portuguese, Spanish and Indonesian. The love letters poured in from people who can now share their lives with more of their friends and family in the comfort of their native language. We live for such happiness, so today we're getting started on seven new languages:
    French
    Italian
    German
    Thai
    Malay
    Vietnamese
    Burmese
You'll find them all in our Translate tool right now, ready to be worked on by anyone who speaks these languages and is willing to help out. We think the tool is pretty easy to use, but you can always check out the FAQ to learn more about it.

If your preferred language isn't listed above, please suggest it for next time. We look forward to announcing that Multiply is available in these languages soon!

What about the Arabic Language
if you click on that "translate" link at the bottom of the page, there should be an option there where you can select a language that's not currently available.

Believe it or not IN THIS Group alone it could get your site nearly closed down as its seen as Advertising & that is otherwise known as Spam

Your Now In Multiply's Own Personal Group -... NO Advertising.. Its best you read there rules -- ( PS - Love The Logo Style by the way )

PSS. If you want to advertise it legally go here

announcenewgroups.multiply.com

And do plz read there rules... all the best .. & my link aint clickable either in this thread like yours is
But Even that could be seen or classed as Spam as well....

I don't know why many south-Asians were using this plateform but language service opened already only in japanese? Why not chinese or korean? It is non-sense, isn't it? Burma? Malay? Vietnam? What was the reasons that pick-up these languages service on this Multiply? The staff had a any joinning member's native language statistics? I know several multiply groups for language but nobody acting there. e.g.

barefootmeg wrote on May 15, '10

my guess is that it had something to do with the fact that a Japanese investment firm was one of the first investors in the company and asked them to add japanese. see staff blog post.
acharabia wrote on May 15, '10, edited on May 15, '10
http://multiply.com/info/press/japanese

After surfing above, that's maybe just comercial marketing along several
multiply staffs. So the reasons many south-Asian comming into multiply
also maybe policy of them?!?! That's logic... Because there is not much
European here except moving msn user. You're also staff in multiply?!?!
Maybe you know what is this? ==> http://zz.multiply.com/
I don't understand clearly this group's purpose. Maybe I translate
all of contents there so my languages will be selected to Multiply?!?!
Absolutely NO... Because there is staff's policy. hehe~

Ahha~ Some ppl said to me "don't using edit" so I cut-&-paste here.
Actually, no need to translate completely to any kinds of languages.
For example, video? Almost korean also say just "video" and can
understand any others. e.g. photo, blog, twitter... etc. Translate
is more important "what fonction" on the page and simple and very
clealy understand with short word... Anyway I have fun to Vote on
pig Latin page by other poeples.
acharabia wrote on May 15, '10, edited on May 16, '10
I think again... when I translate better show original sheet(=language pak)
such like phpbb baord system rather this multply vote on system because
unification impossible such case on the each situations. When I see
those below for translating on the page through internet situation is better.

home notes blog photos video calendar links

$lang = array_merge($lang, array(
'ENCODING' => 'utf-8',
'DIRECTION' => 'ltr',
'LEFT' => 'left',
'RIGHT' => 'right',
'DATE_FORMAT' => '|Y/m/d D g:i a|',

'1_DAY' => '요일",
'1_MONTH' => '월간",
'1_YEAR' => '년도",
'2_WEEKS' => '주간',
'3_MONTHS' => '월간',
'6_MONTHS' => '월간',
'7_DAYS' => '요일들',

Anyway that's interest "vote on" section.
I can do these all pages in only 1 night.
So select korean language on this multiply?

Multiply will use "crowd sourced" translations, meaning we'll use the translations that our users vote as the best ones. To vote for a translation you like, just click on the Up arrow, or click the Down arrow for ones you don't think we should use. When a translation reaches a certain number of Up votes, we'll use it on the site.

I submited already all of my languages at "vote on" page
in "Pig-Latin" group page sheed. First time 70 pages over
but now less than 17 page. Long and complicated
sentence will be need more translating by locally signification.
That's mean not 100% exactly same translating but people
will be able to understand what its mean. Need more effort...

barefootmeg wrote on May 16, '10
pig latin was added so people could test the translating system without messing up any of the real languages. it's sort of like a sandbox where you can play around and practice, but you're not messing up something important that someone else is going to need to use the site.

and no, i'm not on staff with multiply. :-} and no, i'm not fluent in pig-latin either. ;-)
acharabia wrote on May 16, '10, edited on May 16, '10
Huh? So my work still now was vain(=lost)?!?!
Actually, I douted what this site mean "Latin" for
which country? So this page was just showcase(?)
such like "model house" for sale, wasn't this?
So my work was going where?

hmmm... Frankly this multiply so complicate that
I like it but sometime make me so messing-up for
understanding their rolling system.

So... Is below correct? First of all, checking exgist
your country language to pull-down menu on the
translate page and then click your country language
menu there and beginning translating work such like
"popula-recent-glosary-random" so your job
done going to vote page automatically and other
people who can understand its languaage to vote
your translate?!?! Is it correct? Maybe I think so...

And other questions... What's mean red color translate
on japanese vote page? Why there is no 2nd step % on
overview sheet? Japanese is directly to go to verification
step without vote?!?! Is this equality? So I ridicule surely
there are so many japanese staffs in multiply office room.
And look also japanese only show "日本語" <== spelling
like this. Why not each country unique spelling on the
pull-down menu? And just put into 中國語(china), 韓國語(korea)
into pull-down menu is equality even though translate
completely or not. Because wheather korean exgist
there is nobody to translate for multiply except me I believe.
Almost people like just vote, not work. I beleive it very much.
So my conclusion is... Put into korean(or chinese) on the
pull-down menu immediately. Why? That is same mean
exgiste on the menu or not for until verification finishing.
Why not Arab? Pakistan or Saudi... India too~ hehe~

And the... arrow on vote page mean many ppl were
participated to translate to its country language, weren't it?
If it is correct... Look again japanese section... There is
only one arrow but they were accept multiply staffs...
Funny... It's So funny...

Funny... It's So funny...
that was probably because the funding company enabled them to pay an individual translator. there are no other funding companies assisting with any of the other translation work. the japanese was translated back in 2006.

i don't know which work you mean that you think may have been in vain. :-\
acharabia wrote on May 16, '10, edited on May 16, '10
You know? I have already finished translate over 70 pages
vote sheet there on "pig-Latin" site... But... I work...
so what was for multiply? So I made unique guide site
for next korean multiply user already know this case of
accident like this ==> http://multikorean.multiply.com/journal
So I don't upset wheather accept korean to multiply or not.
This is my final conclusion~

I've never believed korean using this multiply.
Maybe I'm the only one guy who using it.
Almost using twiter for whatelse. But I like this
multiply better. Twitter or facebook and otherelse
is not for me. (=my favorite)
barefootmeg wrote on May 16, '10

This is my final conclusion~
i think they're doing small bunches of languages at a time. so we had one set, then that went live and we're not on the second set, and after that goes lives perhaps they'll add another set. and at some point one of those sets might include korean. :-)

you Have already suggested korean on the translate page, right?
acharabia wrote on May 16, '10, edited on May 16, '10

Thank you for kindly explain to continue such like
multiply staff though you are not a staff member
by your saying. Sure~ And indeed~ But my
suggest will be able to accepted by multiply staff
in next year~ hehe~

The entire text will be quoted. If you would like to quote only part of the post, uncheck the Quote box, then select the text you want to quote with your mouse, then re-check the Quote box

But how can you put into possible "partly quote" directly
like above?!?! Why me not? check box?!?! re-check?!?!
What the... So I like this point of multiply system... It's so
very complicate then nobody using 100% total and they just
easily think or misunderstand this is messing-up.

I need just... This blog title is better like below...
"Seven new languages ready for translation include korean"
Furthermore, along equality, showing like this ==> 中國語, 韓國語(한국어), 日本語
This is very correct and 100% equality policy under multiply system.
Or changing "日本語" to "japanese" is equality on the pull-down menu.
By Equality... Now japanese very go far because multiply member
peoples participate more than other languages translation wiorking.

In fact, This is meaningless though staff include in korean.
Because not much useful any kinds of language in the
internet world. Why? Almost internet user already habit
to use in english but just confusing function by language
such like my sample case about "quote" above. Who can
explain this very clearly with each languages is the only
the problem.

http://multiply.com/translate/languages

This is my suggestion to multiply staff now... When we
click above link... Rather divide section on the earth part
on the table such like FIFA rule...
  • Europe: French, German, Italy, Spain, Portugal... etc.
  • America North: No Need~ because already setting automatially
  • Ameirca South: No Neet~ too... because spanish or portugal whole
  • Asia Far Eastern: 中國語, 韓國語, 日本語
  • Asia South: Philliphine, Vetnam, Cambodia, Burma... etc.
  • Asia West: Thai, Balgaldaishi, Nepal, Butan... etc.
  • India-Arab: Saudi, Parkistan, Afganistan, or Uzbekistan... etc.
  • Africa: Normally English or French standard
And then vote there!!! How many people need their country
language to multiply system seeing is better firstly... And
working to start reaching ppl's need over 100 votes is intellectual...

Yep~ Vote~ Vote~ hehe~ Attention~ If we going to fun playing here staff cutting us without warning such like dictatorship... That's multiply system...

But it is not joking purely... If you need really Swazilian language?
You should go to "Pig-Latin" area and just click "vote" menu and
working now by yourself... This is my style now... I work all by
myself now without multiply helping. But I'm very scare... I've
been already 80% translated but all losting my jobs?!?? Where is
my job done? And showing how? my job go to where?
It is the big problem that we feel now...
barefootmeg wrote on May 16, '10
I work all by
myself now without multiply helping. But I'm very scare... I've
been already 80% translated but all losting my jobs?!??
what language are you translating?
acharabia wrote on May 17, '10, edited on May 17, '10
Surely my country languages first~ korean~
(So western savant asking not what is your country
language rather what is your mother tung language
is correct question.) A little bit different each
languages between chinese, japanese, and korea...
such like same origin Latin Alpabet in Europe. e.g.
There are also a little bit simular between
german, italy, french and english because
same origin like Latin, isn't it? But there is
only different pronciation, isn't it? Here is too~
But korean has unique Alpabet since A.D. 1400

e.g. 가나다라마바사아자차카타파하 <== korean alpabet.
e.g. Toys & Hobbies ==> 장난감과 취미들

Japanese? but... there is almost same like
chinese alpabet... rather writing chinese alpabet
is better understaning in Japan. So chinese who
has a cultural or historically longer than other
countries in Far Eastern can understand easily
at japan area when see some part of newpaper
or market sign or publish... etc. You are also
same case, aren't you? You can easily understand
Italy or french restant menu? No? Totally unkown?

e.g. 中國語, 韓國語, 日本語

We can understand when we see these alpabets
in Far easten area if they had a high degree educations.
But now, more and more there are not much knowing
people increasing. Because western comming into
here rather english is useful here and there.
barefootmeg wrote on May 17, '10
You can easily understand
Italy or french restant menu? No?
lol! easily? no, not easily. there are definitely similarities, but not enough to follow along with much of what is said or written.
acharabia wrote on May 17, '10, edited on May 18, '10
lol! easily? no, not easily. there are definitely similarities, but not enough to follow along with much of what is said or written.
Maybe Anglo-French is much similar I guess. I don't know why there is no dictionary for similar words between each Euro country... e.g. cigarette, tobacco, liquidation, motor, papa, There are so much similar word in same origin Latin but Italy, Spain, German different? Maybe Russian totally different... Also good example here... Le soeil... maybe same spainsh, italian, and french and then english change except "S" spelling SUN. but german and russian? That's mean... Latin journey to go to England pass by French territory I guess. Don't you think so?

Finishing all translated in korean at vote section.
There are also "poplar-recent-glossary-random"
but this job will be done after korean pull-down
menu create by multiply team. So it's not very
big job to translate for me. It is important that
multiply Admin's Co. marketing policy rather.

Bizzard & Funny when I come into and see translate page
Why show green up-down arrow when I click "my translate"
area after click on "Pig-Latin" pull-down menu? So... This is
TESTING mean what? So I shouldn't work at that area, should I?
Normally, I guess somebody see whose country language in
pull-down menu and interesting very much about to translate
and introducing this multiply and then starting to working
individually go to click their country title on the pull-down menu...
This is logic and very clearly understanding to anybody. So that
"Pig-Latin" was sample showcase for knowing about fornication
how be rolling translating job on that page... Is it correct?
No need to test. Because other south-Asia language are
also testing level so everybody can understand when they
are just touring menu by menu. step1, step2, step3, step4...
each country language which will be adapted same steps
like those... Finally, testing page is no need.

Conclusion is... korean which I've finish all at vote section
at "Pig-Latin" is messing-up with Latin translate now. And
then Admin will deleting all my work on that sheet in someday.
Or when after creating korean pull-down, I should work again
same jab and same field. Stupid...

Rather hurry to translate very deadly and very quickly and easily
understand translate page(=overview, translate phrase, vote, my trna..)
for each country languages for everybody who interesting to translate
for their country language on multiply system is the best. Give me
a form sheet this for korean. This top opening page is very important.
And pull-down menu also divide continental section like FIFA rule.
  • Europe(east-west-north-souch),
  • Asia-southwest,
  • Asia-northeast,
  • Arab, India and minor Asia... etc.
  • Africa and regional dialect
  • No need America because already Europe origin include

This is my explain for everybody for interesting translating job.
green up-down arrow at vote section mean how many ppl to
join for translating when you click each country language
on pull-down menu at left side. So you can see just 1 line
green up-down arrow in vote section now mean translate
machine working. Or translate by whom? It should be
create a little button with linked their multiply homepage.
Why? somebody translate fun job such like those all around.
  • "tomato" ==> "NewYorker"
  • "baby & Todd" ==> "Multiply staff Admin"
  • "and give a face to the name" ==> "and give a ass to the name"

Look... English typing is not ordering left margin
and right margin but korean translate it's very~ very~
cubic style and same left-right margin, isn't it?
This unification is more easily everybody can
understand when they just look. It's my job what
word selection for same cubic margin... Only pure
Translation is not sufficient for easy understanding.
There is needed more specific skill.

Because same concept 中國語-韓國語-日本語
And Far-Eastern ppl can easily understand when
they seeing letters after coming into any languages.
It's very funny that some ppl need pure~ pure~ pure~
korean?!?! So byte by byte rule crashing... Japanese

& my link aint clickable either in this thread like yours is
      But Even that could be seen or classed as Spam as well....
      ok thank you very much, I'll delete it, and it will go to the address .. :) sorry.

      Hello
      I come from abbord to thank you for the translation in Frenchman(French people).
      However, I have small one concerns(marigolds), for this morning, my limp in letters is empty, then, I accéde not any more in the customization(personalization) of my site and my group.
      It is a question surement of a temporary breakdown, but I shall like having the clear(net) heart of it
      Thank you in advance

      mamie, i don't think the staff will see your comment here. they often don't come back to look at old posts. you should send a message to the customer service people.

      louis vuitton wallet are the rage among women, for a number of reasons. The cost factor obviously comes first. Genuine louis vuitton monogram wallet costs anywhere between several hundred and a whopping $1,000 or above. Really a bit too much for a louis vuitton replicas for men , don't you think?

      When I click "Rearrange_Video" you can see what is where?
      I've already issue this point to staff but they didn't hear.
      Rather folder style is better than tag or key-ward classification?
      That's mean too many video messing-up on same page so
      when we rearrange we can't find what video will going to where.
      Using JAVA scrip so dial-log ad-ballon sign upon video is better.
      At least we can find un instantly through ad-ballon sign knowing
      video files name which will be moving where.

      And another... Why not video can't go to each
      group site through auto-uplaod such like photos?
      There is nobody issue about those whose multiply user?

      Yeh~ But sorry, I don't understand what you exactly agree on me.
      That was already to finish arguing for just dream thing at last year.
      But think again, my arguing was just who is using more INTERNET?
      Vietnam, Burma, Thai or Korean? Why not chinese? Why only the
      Japanese here? That was first and origin step to argue add korean
      to here multiply page. That's all... And now, I don't care what they do,
      weather input korean or not... Just need systematic up-grade
      better to multiply member. Rather somebody here to suggest useful
      Android(proyo 2.2) App?
