With all the options available before,
getting your photos on Multiply was already
pretty easy. But in true Multiply fashion, we've managed to outdo
ourselves again. And when that happens, it means fun new stuff for you
to play with.
So let's take a look at a great new
option (and a couple of old favorites) for getting photos on
Multiply.
JavaDrag 'em. Drop 'em. Post
'em.Our brand-new Java-based photo
uploader is a certifiably beautiful thing. Simplicity incarnate. But
first, depending on your setup, you may need to do a couple of things
first.
- If you don't have Java on
your computer, you'll need to grab it from Java.com and install
it.
- If the uploader applet gives you a warning when
it first loads, you'll need to click Accept.
And
that's it -- you're all set. Just drag the image files you want to
upload onto the big box, choose whether you'd like them auto-resized
(for much faster uploads) and click
Upload. After the transfer is complete, you'll
be able to tweak your security settings, add titles and captions to
your photos, and so forth.
HTMLSlimmer than ever, it's minimalism at its
finest. In case you're not able (or
willing) to install Java, we've
also gone ahead and streamlined the basic HTML uploader as well. Well,
streamlined may be an understatement. We've gone ahead and taken
everything nonessential, everything you don't need to see right this
moment, and swept it under the rug for safekeeping until you do need
it.
So once you've selected and uploaded your
photos, much like with the new Java uploader, you'll find the
rest of the options you're used to. Fill 'em out and
go.
ActiveX
If you really want to, you still
can.If you're using Windows and
Internet Explorer is your browser of choice, we've still got the same
ActiveX-based uploader that you know (and probably
love).
So there you
have it, three ways to get photos from your computer to Multiply, where
you can share and discuss them with your network, and -- what else --
have them
printed.
