Do you want to work for Multiply? Alright, then. How does this sound?
You're quite Internet savvy. Familiarity with Multiply, and other lesser social networking sites, is a major plus.
You have excellent writing skills. Seriously. There will be a test.
You know what HTML is, and you understand the basics. Other technical knowledge is a plus, as well.
You're detail-oriented. Always a plus.
(This is an entry-level position.)
If all of the above describe you, and you live near, are willing to move to, or don't mind commuting* to our Boca Raton, Florida office, you're perfect for the job! Drop us a line at multiplyjobs@multiply.com and let us know who you are and what you're about. (Attaching a résumé would also be a very good idea.)
Oh, and by the way, this will likely be your desk. Isn't it great? It's right next to mine.
It sounds perfect to me!!! That's what I've been waiting for... an opportunity in Customer Services in Florida so I can move back to my second home country!!! Although I am temporarily living in Brazil, I am authorized to work in the USA and willing to move back ASAP! ;-)
Hi,nice job if only i live there.Unfortunately,i'm miles, miles away from you.I wonder if you can hire people to work with you online or thru the internet.I just wish i could be a part of your company.Thanks.
I don't have any problem commuting to Boca Raton from where I live, but I think Multiply might be a wee bit put off by the frequent airfare from Hawaii to Florida and back.
Preatty interesting for an computer expert with more than plenty experience in I.S.P. station, field eng, and web support like my broth in law. he wouldnt mind neither the entry position in Florida, but he left US while ago. Now is you have some positions for people working from their own site, it would be nice. Just let us know , i am sure you would like him to be in your team. Is good. KOKO
gusto ko to (i want this!)... but i think i cant change location that easy... im from philippines... but im hoping to be a part of this big company even if im far away...if there's a will, there's a way.... i wish i could get some help from my friends and relatives here and out there..... hehehe! ayos to! i'll be graduating this coming march 2007 hope to finish my bachelors degree in computer science... requirements are simple but challenging... kaya ko 'to! thanks guys for posting this!

Hey guys, why is such a communication based position only available to somebody willing to work from your offices, why doesn't this be made available for someone on a trial period from an individuals home, no matter where they reside. Come on guys this is a 21st century resource, you could develop a "clock on-clock off " position with not much hassle, after all your leading the way with internet communication development surely ;0 ) .. "Thinking outside the box is the only true way forward."
This is too far from London and Dublin, Florida...too many hurricanes there, I thought the job will be for people around the world to promote your Multiply Company, so that lots will join here. Anyway, a very interesting job opening for the young ones.
I have a proximity problem, but if you are willing to help me work on my papers to go there, I'm your gal! Otherwise, I'm willing to help you out remotely. I'm in the Philippines, you see. And, when I am not teaching my class or writing articles, I am online anyway. I have a broadband connection so I can be online most of the time.
I really want to work in multiply, but i still need much learning... about everything.... And i live in Jakarta, Indonesia, is very far away from Florida, United States... But, this is very good opportunity...
I would send in a resume but am much too far away ... Deano has good suggestion. I was thinking along similar lines ... since we're online much of the time with broadband access.

Hi guys, thanks for all the responses and interest!
Yes, we want someone who can work with us in person, in our office. We're a relatively small, close-knit bunch in the first place, and we find that while it's often easier to communicate with each other via IM (and Multiply, of course! :) than get up and walk over to someone's office, having the option of face-to-face human contact with those you're working with is something that's really essential. And it's much easier to ask questions and be productive when you're sitting right next to someone.
hi, may i apply as a translator if ever you think of getting the whole multiply thing translated to filipino? hehehe... i know a friend of mine who did it for google, i was thinking maybe you'd someday want multiply translated too. hehehe. just a thought. and i hope you could hire me to work for you online. hahaha and i'm so thinking you'll hire ME right away LOLZ. just lemme know... :) more power multiply! :) -rads
I do live in Boca, but sadly, cannot accept such a menial position. If you need a CEO, CFO, or someone to serve as your liasion to the adult entertainment industry, be sure and post it.
hey..can i apply?i am miles away. whre can i sent my resume. do you have an email address so that i can attach? can i ask whats the salary and its benefits?
wanted to, and im interested... but i thought the job's wouldn't require me to move... but to my frustration, it will... well, i hope there's another job for people like me, who'd be willing to offer skills while we're away... part time that is... hehehe
pick me!!!pick me!!!but then I realize, I still hv a master degree to pursue....can my current desk be my working station??n when I grab my master I'd be happy to fly wherever multiply requires me to fly........ how lovely.....................
It's interesting job! I have experienced before as a cyber media journalist in Jakarta (Indonesia). I think my capability is meet with the criteria also. But, the problem is I am living in Australia. So, apparently I just waiting other any possibility for me.:))
i want to do it coz i have all da skilz tht u sayed but i am living too far away from florida...n i have to get there in plane...so not planning anything anyway it waz a gd oppurtunity ...
Since Multiply is an Online Community, it should really consider utilizing the Telecommuting Options and Equipment that are so common place in major business, and I'm not just talking about California either, even smaller states like Arkansas where I'm from have fax machines, telephones and broadband high speed internet connections and companies utilize work from home employees to do their business needs.
To limit their employees to one small part of the country, is irrseponsible, and shows that Multiply still has a lot of growing room if they want to seriously compete in the business world.
//Since Multiply is an Online Community, it should really consider utilizing the Telecommuting Options and Equipment that are so common place in major business//
That's what I was thinking. You'd think that, of all businesses, Multiply would be one of the least likely to require on-site customer service personel.
How much does this job generally pay? My brother and I are both doing technical support/ customer service at two different companies. One of us is making $18k a year, the other is making $32k a year. What kind of salaries are we looking at? And Second....do we really have to work on a Dell computer? lol

i don't understand this post. i can't read, i can't write, i'm impatient, obnoxious, sleepy on the job, and don't want to go to Boca Raton. should i apply anyway?

I agree with those who posted an option for telecommuting. Being in a different time zone, I may be able to do the job during my night time. He he. I am a journalism graduate and been working in the IT industry for some years now.
I may be wrong ... but I think one of the MAJOR requirements should be ... a good command of the English language. It's hurts, sometimes, to read the way some people write. Sigh.
Especially on THIS particular blog entry. People seem to forget that this is a legitimate job offer and shoud treat it as such. Textspeak, for one, should not be used in response to this blog if the person is serious about trying out for the job.

well screw me if i'm wrong...but this isn't an opening for an english professor, but a multiply employee. I believe this "textspeak" must be more important in knowing then the english language...this isn't a job for multiply's diplomacy across england.

Can I work for Multiply from home?
You're quite Internet savvy. ==> Yes Familiarity with Multiply, and other lesser social networking sites, is a major plus. ==> Not yet. You have excellent writing skills. ==> Yes Seriously. There will be a test. ==> Grammar test or essay?
You know what HTML is, and you understand the basics. ==> Yes Other technical knowledge is a plus, as well. ==> CS, JS, CF, PS, & DW. You're detail-oriented. ==> Yes Always a plus.
You could hire me to just sit around and look good. I'm really good at it plus I might consider offering my very talented sexual services to a few of your more attractive female employees. Of course you'd have to send the limo out to pick me up every morning but I'm not very far away and it would certainly be worth it to you. Now of course I expect 6 figures, pension plan, and no more than 40 hours a week. Oh yes and my office will need a window that has a nice view and I expect Hawaiian coffee. Since you are local I'm obviously willing to lower my standards.
