The Multiply we all know and love is
expanding, broadening its horizons... even learning a new
language!
That's right, through our partnership with
the fine folks at Transcosmos, Multiply is proud to extend
our service to Japanese speakers all over the world.
We have completely translated Multiply into
Japanese; users with their location set to Japan will automatically
begin seeing Multiply in this language. Regardless of where you are,
you can change your display language -- simply click My Account (登録情報) and
use the language drop-down shown above.
We know that
this will probably bring up a very specific question: When is Multiply going to be translated into [other
language]? For this, we have a relatively specific answer:
We don't know yet.
As it is, we don't have any plans just yet for
further translations, but we've learned a lot from the Japanese
translation effort and feel that we're in a much better position to
work on other languages in the future.
I just log on today to find my multiply completely in Japanese, despite I live in Japan for 3 years, I can't understand a word, and can't even tell where I should go to configure this. It become unusable. I hope the button "English" come soon, so I can start using multiply again.

That's the question that you guys should be receiving most. I did that several times, and I am pretty sure that you guys are going after it. So keep working, as good as you've being doing until now, and I am sure the long wait will worth it.
i would be interested in the how. did you for instance use the languaje corners within multiply for the translation? i´m sure the spanish speaking friends, for example, would love to help with the "traducción". (well, i cuold volunteer).
I just spent 5 weeks in Japan. I've been back in Atlanta, GA for a week. I'm suffering from a bit of culture withdrawal. Throughout my trip I posted blogs, photos, and a video on my multiply site. Check it out, suckas!
A volunteer project to help to localise Multiply to other languages would be a good idea, but it would be difficult to assess the quality of translation. For this to work Multiply needs to find good translators, proof readers and editors to help to translate the site for which payment would be made. I vote for a Brazilian Portuguese version.

Why don't you guys do a volunteer translation project to translations in other languages, just like Google does with its services. I would help translating multiply in Portuguese.
