So it seems Hurricane Ernesto is on its way towards,
oh, pretty much the entire state of Florida. And our little corner of
it (better known as Boca Raton) is that little white dot on the map.
Keeping last
year in mind, clearly, no one is looking forward to this
eventuality... but if Ernesto were to hit us, you needn't worry about the
website, which is hosted a thousand-plus miles up the east
coast.
Of course, feel free to worry about us if you don't hear
anything for a while.
Some state other than Florida needs to offer the company a nice package of tax breaks or something, so that you can get away from all those hurricanes. (And Boca in general, which has been a nexus of spam and porn for years. ;)
How bad is it suppose to be? Is it bad enough to execute an evacuation? Pardon my ignorance... The only hurricane we get here from this part of the world is via CNN.
I hope that you button down everything, and remember if they tell you to evacuate, DO IT, jobs property, and all material things can be replaced, your life can't!!!
Take my word for it, I am a Katrina victim, I lost everything, clothes, computers, home, but now I live 50 miles from where I used to; I think that I am better off now.
Good luck to everyone there in Florida!! That's all we can do right now since where all the way here in the midwest! iamdabump is right though.. nopthing is more important than your lives! please be careful!
I have no idea what's going on but I have not been able to view my home page for three whole days and wrote to you and no replies from Help yet...what's up???? It keeps saying that it will be available shortly and thank me for my patience...I am not that patient
Okay so now you got me wondering...how strong is this hurricane going to be? Judging from the map below it looks like you're right on the path of the "eye". Be safe multiply gang!
From the way the weather guessers are talking you shouldn't have too much to worry about. The WORST I've heard forcast for arrival on mainland Florida is a very weak Cat 1. The latest Satellite pics make me doiubt it will even qualify for tropical storm status when it hits Boca. Good luck anyway folks. Still a ways to go this season.
i'm in south florida, and i can say we had a worse rain-storm last week! this ernesto hasnt even killed the power or internet connection, and now i'm kicking myself for having spent so much effort on puttin up the hurricane shutters! bah.
yje reason is simple most of south florida the water temp has not risen above 86 Degrees in the ocean this year. While last yr the water temp in south fla was in the upper 80s and 90s this will be a strange phenomenon since the last 3 yrs its been in Jult Agust sept in the 90s.While yesterday the air and water were cooler yhat is normal after a storm . This year tempts in South fla were cooler than South dakota with 97 degress .Global warming is on the reverse maybe Florida will have tempts in the freesing while new york will get the hot temps will see this winter
